  1. ... About 10 days ago. No results as yet. Just an infection. So I am on antibiotics at the moment. Ones I have never heard of before. They finish tomorrow but seem to have worked. ( Quite a lot of side effects from the meds! )
  2. CBD balm? I've heard mention though know not a lot about it...
  3. Thank you. Interesting. I think I am pragmatic also about such things. Some treatments I will willingly accept, others I might politely decline!
  4. Hello all, Well... I had my Cystoscopy and Prostate Biopsy on Friday, at about lunch time. I was told it might be a bladder biopsy as well, but I don't think it was in the end. ( No pun intended. ) All the staff were brilliant. I also feel my option for a General Anaesthetic was the right one for me. The comments here prepared me well. Yes, there was the razor blade sensation. Gone now. But still the dull ache and pain 'downstairs'. And I know there will be blood themed unpleasantness continuing for some while. ( The most stressful part was my wife driving home in the dark. Seemingly aiming for potholes etc?! ) Now I rest and wait... I salute everyone here for any medical issue they tackle, and the staff who help them get there. Best wishes to us all. Piers.
  5. I'm told that Pumpkin seeds are also good for prostates...
  6. Thank you for all the positive comments, and as always, words of wisdom. I WILL read through them again - thoroughly. There are always nuggets to be found. ( For me it's a high (16) PSA, blood in urine, vague MRI. ) Thank you again. Piers.
  7. I'll be having one on Tuesday week, and another Prostate Biopsy; all under general anaesthetic. Not looking forward to it, but such is life. BEST wishes to all. Piers
  8. This happened to me back in the day. When it decided to close, I immediately switched off the engine. I reckon it was a faulty switch and decided I would rather have the sunroof always closed than open randomly, so my solution was to take out the relevant fuse. Success.
  9. Lexus tell me that a 2014 RX450h is not susceptible to a 'can-bus' account. Such that no 'plate' is needed. Does that sound correct?
  10. Which email address did you use, assuming you did? Regards.
  11. To me it looks 'ok', not amazing, but 'ok'. If I bought it I would certainly give it a good wash, brush and then treat it with something like LanoGuard or similar... underneath.
  12. Underside rusting killed my RX300. So sad, as the engine etc., were all perfectly fine. If I had my time again, I would have checked underneath and undersealed it...
  13. I would definitely get the view of a trusted independent. Lexus seem to recommend everything gets changed if it's a 'health check'. I would also check for corrosion underneath. It was rust that killed my car, finally - an RX300. It might help you decide how much to budget for etc? Good luck.
  14. Have you had any further thoughts on what you might do?
  15. Have you seen it live and driven it and spoken to the owner?
  16. On my RX, and it was a few years ago, I vaguely recall it was done in conjunction with something else at the same time... So, my inaccurate guess: 2-3 hundred pounds? I know my loom was VERY corroded. I thought garages had 'tables' that gave them hours for particular jobs. So they should, be able to give you a reasonably accurate estimate.
  17. Welcome. Do what I did... Trawl the forum for your Lexus model. I spent hours scrolling and reading, but, it was SO worthwhile!
