  1. Well... I had my Biopsy on Tuesday. General anaesthetic was definitely best for me. Everyone was brilliant. Now it's tiredness, general discomfort in the basement area, slow 'walking', doing not much, some blood... when passing, which I believe is normal. Painkillers and their various side effects... I'm glad the weather's mild.
  2. I hope all goes well for you, Herbie. My top tip for a Colonoscopy is to ask for every type of pain relief known to man. I was given Fentanyl, which certainly helped.
  3. Think of me, tomorrow, 'B Day'. [ Thinking of me is optional. ] I liken it to sitting on a hedgehog. My Consultant says I'll be walking like John Wayne afterwards. Hey ho.
  4. I think based on how Peter feels emotionally ( see OP ), I'd put my health and well-being first - whatever that decides.
  5. But..."it looks and drives really well", [ without an MOT? ] so what could possibly go wrong?!
  6. Personally... and I know it's easy for me to say... I'd return it. Sooner than later. ( I have found Uber convenient and cheap for needed journeys. ) Whoever had it before, part-exchanged etc., probably knew of this issue and maybe others? Sometimes these 3,000 point checks are mostly checking the obvious... Best wishes for whatever you do...
  7. I don't know what the cause is, but I think i'd be getting it to a nearby garage, especially if it's related to brakes.
  8. I think if I had that facility, I'd either fall-over or have someone calling an ambulance in all the confusion!
  9. They are trying to make it to the next Service Station charging point ( that used to be a Blue Badge Disabled Parking bay - before the 'blue' turned 'green'. )
  10. Eventually someone will shout, 'Bingo!', having marked off all the 'numbers' on their card.
  11. You would also... hear a slight change in revs etc., when switched on. Is there a small glass inspection 'window' under the bonnet you can view?
  12. Presumably whatever the manufacturer recommends... Does it say in the owner manual or service book?
  13. I used this... Super cheap but seems to work... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Front-Guard-Protectors-Strip-Black/dp/B016DSU2HS/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1OYRLSDSLMW5F&keywords=car+door+edge+protector&qid=1666425162&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI2LjI5IiwicXNhIjoiNS43NiIsInFzcCI6IjUuNTAifQ%3D%3D&quartzVehicle=36-1974&refinements=p_72%3A419153031%2Cp_36%3A304525031&replacementKeywords=car+door+protector&rnid=301350031&s=automotive&sprefix=car+door+edge+%2Caps%2C82&sr=1-3
  14. +1 That's what I do also. I quite like that the back lights are on as well. If drivers on the other side of the road are driving into low Winter sun, I put my headlights on.
  15. Not to me... A few dings on the outside and strange dings on the back seats. Nearside Front Suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i)) Offside Front Suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i)) Nearside Rear Suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i)) Offside Rear Suspension arm corroded but not seriously weakened (5.3.3 (b) (i))
  16. I tend to look at multiple reviews... And check the reviewers, where possible are genuine, and not leaving 'worldwide' reviews. ( e.g., https://www.autoelectricdiagnostics.co.uk/ )
  17. Which you can buy on eBay should you wish to...
  18. Certainly for a newish car... no. I'm note sure even Lexus would say yes. If it's getting old and you feel it 'might' be worth a try, buy the one YOU like and use it before a LONG journey - maybe?
  19. This? ( no 'h' ) It will also 'say' in the Owner Manual.
  20. Has it definitely failed... or is it an advisory? It does seem odd to go from one extreme to the other... I had corrosion on my RX, but no actual fail...
  21. As a PS., every year, whatever, the car, I change the pollen filter, use a stick-it-in-the footwell air-con cleaning aerosol, and check the air-con temperature. Cost... about £15? Satisfaction... priceless!
  22. £175! Skip it. Buy a decent aerosol. Even a re-gas is only about £70...
