  1. What are you trying to achieve? ( I know you can buy false-belts - though hopefully not to use when driving?! )
  2. There wasn't any unknown accident damage at all? Sound a bit odd... GREAT post.
  3. I use one once a year. I think it goes behind the front passenger seat - with that seat as far forward as poss. I think the car fills up, so just follow the instructions on the can and all will be well!
  4. I've seen dealers quote £400 for Supagard. That auction site is my supplier of choice. And MUCH cheaper!
  5. I had my a/c serviced by an independent a while back. All was well. But I am confident any issue would have been correctly diagnosed. Maybe a second opinion would help clarify the issue? Mine cost £60 inc. ( It could be that the service simply highlighted an existing but yet to materialise issue. maybe the gas was low...?)
  6. "Do either of you know of a good independent Lexus/Toyota mechanic or am I best off just going to Lexus?" I guess it depends where you're located?
  7. I use Armorall wipes. They seem to clean but leave a matt finish.
  8. Worth asking Japex ( Herts ) for a quote? They give good advice...
  9. Well... I left my foot brake off last night - and the sound has disappeared again. Guess the break freed itself up overnight?
  10. Thank you, Chris. Sound thoughts as always. Yes, the foot brake has a lot of travel! Piers
  11. And now it's back again... :( I am surte the brake is sticking, as I hear that 'shhh', 'shhh', sound at low speed. I've read that salt can cause it, and lubricating a cable can help. We have certainly had salted roads recently. Previously, the dealer said to keep using the parking brake, and that would help. Despite the 2 new rear callipers a while back, it still seems to be an intermittent issue. Does anyone here have any words of wisdom at all ? Regards, Piers.
  12. Does anyone know if this is a viable option, in terms of adaptive cruise control? http://delphi.com/manufacturers/auto/safety/active/adaptive-cruise-control I can't find much more about it ...
  13. ... and check your tyres. Happened to me. New tyres resolved the issue.
  14. It happened on my RX. Drove me mad. Getting the motor changed, fixed it.
  15. Turned out it was a 'punctured bellow'. Parts £600. All covered under warranty.
  16. I did my own car with Supagard... I still use wax and polish though. It's 12 years old, so I feel there's nothing to lose. Enjoy your new car!
