  1. I did the one on Thursday, drove the RX, IS250C and IS-F Loved both the IS's (especially the F), but didn't like the mouse control on the RX at all. I think its a really backward step from the touch screen :(
  2. I had a quick browse at some photos of used cars on the Lexus website, and found one (an SE-I, I think) that didn't have them. Maybe they are standard only on the upper models. Lexus seem to be shooting themselves in the foot with the effective de-specing (flappy paddles, Sat-Nav with no ML or Traffic, etc) that they have done. I've got a '56 IS250SE Auto MM and I can't see myself upgrading it for a newer one, beacase to get all the same toys, it seems you have to get an SE-L for loadsamoney...
  3. You've got to love the guy....613hp and he's still chuffed about the way the windows roll down if you hold the unlock button on the key down :D
  4. Why do we end up buying the cars we do? For the looks? For the way it drives? For the equipment? For the price? For the reliability? Yes I chose both my IS200 and IS250 because of all of these things. The one tihng I didn't care about is the badge. The simple fact is, I would atill have bought them if they had a Toyota badge on the front. In fact the servicing would probably be cheaper.....
  5. Yes my standard 16"wheel is a tight fit as well, although as previously stated there is a knack.... I seem to remember being sad enough to work that the diameter of a 205/55R16 is slightly larger than a 215/45 R17 hence an S effectively has (slightly) longer gearing and a tighter fitting spare!
  6. As i understand it, there are 2 flavours of ipod compatability 1. just an audio input that you select and can hear the music, but you have to use the ipod to change tracks etc. There is nothing really clever about this..every household hi-fi for years has had an aux in. 2. the full works which means you can change tracks etc from the in car controls If you go the the apple ipod website, it gives you a list of cars which have (2)....and lexus isn't on there, so I assume it is just (1). Maybe moley could check? (the cars must be selling themselves, as he has so much time to post on here :D )
  7. Found this on autotrader: ← Thanks...I looked on Autotrader and didn't see this one..doh I don't think they look too bad!
  8. Has anybody got any photos of a base IS250 with 16in wheels. I too think that a non Se with MM is more attractive than an SE, but I would really like to see what the wheels look like.
  9. I almost bought a Corolla for my wife from Autobytel. If it is the same as my experience, what they do is put you in touch with a main dealer who will sell you the car at the price quoted. You deal directly with the dealer, so shouldnt be any worries.....
  10. While it is always nice to see Lexus beat BMW, I am not sure how seriously we can take an article that says about the cupholders... "Plus, they aren’t deep, and beverages contained there spill easily when the BMW is driven with verve. " :P
  11. Well I'm glad you are all happy for this idiot who can't even spell the name of his new employer correctly. Don't forget it is your taxes which are paying for his beer, strippers, bribes etc...
