  1. Its got quite a long crack along it. I don't know of any plastic welders but am sure it can be repaired from the inside. It has 2 chips as well which would also need repairing. As above its in pretty bad shape, but considering the rarity of them it would be worth sorting. I think the guy that bought it (previous owner) paid over £200 for it from the states. I'll dig it out tomorrow and take some pics.
  2. Yes its one that goes underneath the bumper. Its in quite poor condition as I knocked a curb when parking and it cracked! However I am sure it can be repaired / plastic welded. £30 will buy it.
  3. haha or kick her out and use the passenger seat!! Thankfully mine sold a few days ago to the first viewer, he seemed very happy indeed! Just got some coilovers and a front splitter to shift!
  4. I think they are fairly similar only thing that put me off was the smaller boot, its small enough as it is!
  5. Haha ummm, not really that interested thank you, only reason for selling is to reduce car numbers between us! However I do have a couple of friends in the trade who would purchase from you i'm sure if its trade value you are after?
  6. Some good advice above, I remember having to have washers put on the heat shields as well. Another known problem are rear shocks failing, they aren't cheap to replace. I bought mine with coilovers on it (he gave me the factory shocks but the rears were shot). I had the shocks reconditioned by Gaz Shocks (who make coilovers etc but are local to me), fitted them on the car and its like new! The coilovers that were on it were very bumpy for an old git like me!
  7. that's what worried me and to be honest its absolutely fine, moreso than the black leather in both my mercs, shows scratches!
  8. Hi, havent posted on here for a short while, I have my GS300 SE-L up for sale well well well below your budget and the lower tax bracket! Really is a great example, I bought it from a forum member (came all the way from Ireland to Essex!), it has the ML as well (which sounds great!). Its currently wrapped but happy to remove (black and mint with zero dings or dents underneath, literally not one!). I bought a C63 Mercedes a few months and it hasn't been driven since, just sitting there on a trickle charge and started once a fortnight. Link is here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162030123455?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Thanks Chris
  9. That could indeed do the trick yes! Since refitting the standard suspension the noise has disappeared, although so has the superb handling somewhat! If anyone wants a 1000mile set of BC Racing height / damper adjustable coilovers (same fitment for IS/GS300/IS220D/IS250/ISF - all GSE20 chassis) I am selling mine for £400 for the set of 4. Thanks
  10. They have come back to me and advised they fit all IS/GS300/IS220D/IS250/ISF (basically all GSE20 chassis). Thanks
  11. I have emailed BC Racing to find out what other vehicles these particular ones fit....
  12. Well a quick update, I had a call from the suspension company and they have fixed both of my rear shocks! They have rethreaded, resealed etc (whatever they do!) and all ready to go, all for the cost of £70 per shock! Very pleased to say the least! I did ask if they would offer this service to other forum members but they declined saying they did this as a one off, however they did say it wasn't difficult so other suspension companies will be able to do the job. I will be collecting tomorrow and putting them on the car for the new owner (my friend who is buying the car from me!). So if anyone wants any 1000 mile old coilovers all 4 corners will be up for sale after xmas! 36 way damper and fully height adjustable (BC Racing BR Series)
  13. Would that be the mk2 GS perhaps though as the Camry's are a bit older? (mk2 GS shocks are cheapy cheap!). Worth looking into though :)
  14. Nice one on finding the information, i think Eurocarparts list the shocks at £263 (for the rears, not sure on fronts). I'm dropping them off tomorrow but the technician is not in until Monday, he said it shouldn't be a problem so long as his test dyno can fit them ok. Although there are many varieties, at the end of the day a shock is a shock! I will keep you posted :). As my GS is currently up for sale with the coilovers, if it sells with them on I can always sell you my front shocks!
  15. An alternative could be to look on KYB's website as i 'think' they are made by them? Get the part number for yours, then see what other models that part number corresponds to. I'm in a similar boat, I want to remove my coilovers and put the standard ones back on my 2005 mk3 gs300 se-l but both rears are leaking. I am dropping them off at a well know suspension manufacturer tomorrow as they seem to think they can repair the seals for me at a fraction of the cost of replacing..... Watch this space!
