  1. It is real carbon fibre, but the majority of the examples I’ve seen crack as well as delaminating. They’re not repairable.
  2. Ah! Didn’t realise there was an option on the audio stuff!
  3. I’d always assumed with a GSF, you chose the colour and whether you wanted a sunroof? Everything else was standard? Or I could be wrong / not paying enough attention / answered a completely different question! 😝
  4. I’m afraid it wasn’t me - used to live in Reading, but haven’t been back recently!
  5. One more for you then - the difference between a GSF and a McLaren 720s… I may as well have had the handbrake on… IMG_8827.M4V
  6. It’s totally standard. Tyres are Pilot Sport 4S. Mine has the TVD (do all GSFs?) I used it in track mode when I remembered, half the time it was left in normal. Drive mode was always set to Sport - I find Sport+ too jumpy for smooth throttle inputs.
  7. The brakes on the GSF were fine. Repeated hard braking from 140 at the end of the Lavant Straight in 23-24C heat and no sign of fade. Very impressive from stock brakes! Maybe give Bedford a thought - most corners have concrete straight ahead if you have a ‘moment’! 😁
  8. I did a day at Goodwood a fortnight ago - tuition was available. Most TDOs are offering tuition now. Go for it! A quick video of the GSF in full flight… FullSizeRender.mov
  9. Do a track day in one. All the F cars are really rather good…
  10. Same here - a dry microfibre is all that’s really needed. Best of luck to you!
  11. I have personal experience of this. Lexus UK argued that it was “the way I was cleaning my car”, which it utter BS. The two bits of trim required for the dashboard are £1500. However.... ...my main dealer at Hedge End were very helpful - they always are. We’ve bought 5 cars so far from them and have a good relationship with the dealership. In my case, the parts were reduced via goodwill to substantially less and I decided to have them replaced. It’s annoying in a way, but my GSF has been such a good car, I’m trying to keep it in as good condition as I can. After nearly 4 years, I still have no idea what could replace it.
  12. The carbon splitter is around £4500+VAT+fitting. I asked. 🤪
  13. Take heart, already nearly 20% of UK owners up there! 😁
  14. Just seen this thread! 2016, black, black interior, ML, sunroof! Had my GSF just over 3 years and still enjoy every drive. What could ever replace it?
  15. I love how special the Track Edition is, the carbon work is quite unlike any I have ever seen before. It’s stunning. However, having driven both the vanilla RCF and the TE back to back, on a track; I couldn’t tell the difference between them. Wouldn’t stop me buying one though!
  16. I have tracked my ISF and GSF and had a drive of the RCF, RCF track edition and an LC500 at Goodwood courtesy of Lexus UK. All were absolutely brilliant. Gratuitous photos that may have been posted before:
  17. It’s not the fans for the cooled front seats is it?
  18. I had a full paint correction and ceramic coat done by a local chap on my GSF about 15 months ago. The supplying dealer had “ceramic coated” it (part of the deal - I didn’t pay), but without the initial prep-work, results were poor. I wouldn’t say the muck slides off with a quick wave of the hosepipe, but the dirt certainly doesn’t stick like it used to... and the water beads beautifully with almost no effort. I’d recommend it, but there are plenty of places cheaper than £800...
  19. Thanks! I shall wait, but I won’t hold my breath!
  20. Had this on my GS450. It’s a feature of the electric steering.
  21. Was a limiter removal an option then, or did some cars have it and some not? My ISF definitely felt like it could go faster, but wouldn’t...
