  1. Hi guys, i have been using a product for over a year with great results. Once i have given the wheels a birthday the easiest way to keep them clean is use MUC-OFF, you just squirt it on, aggitate the nasty bits, leave for two minutes and rinse, its completely safe and enviro friendly. I use it every wash and it only takes a couple mins per wheel. You can find this on the net, i buy it in 5 litre cans and it lasts about three months if used sparingly, cost around £19. Found this when i went to look for a quick cleaner for my mountain bike. My Sport wheels are a pain to clean so this means more time down the pub.
  2. On the back of an Octavia estate......... Honest! under the dirt its still a Skoda.
  3. Try this one www.numberplate-solutions.co.uk you can change anything and view the plate at the same time. To get the additional funnies you have to select show plate but to remain legal choose the standard font. Have fun! :winky:
  4. I live in ickleton, near Duxford. Have never heard of any meets around this area, strange because the M11 is so close and a lot of the time when i am passing Duxford airfield they are having some sort of car club meeting which is a perfect venue. :D
  5. :P Found mine on ebay in Hong Kong, came with the harness factory new, great delivery. I will try and trace them if anyones interested. Looks the dogs ! $270
  6. :) Interesting to learn of your problems with the key fob so i've been experimenting at different locations. The average distance is between 35 and 40 metres and yes the boot has a better range. Mine is a GS300 MKII sport 98, unmodified and the original fob. My MK1 was never as good as this !
  7. Yep, i went from 1 to 2 and i was amazed at the difference, i have the sport but i dont find the suspension hard, sometimes i'm in the car for three or four hours and you just want to keep on driving and when you get out you feel as if you have only been in it for an hour. I still loved my mk1 but just go out and try it!
  8. Matt, i got my 98 GS300 sport mkII in 2002, it is black with tinted windows and i purchased it from Lexus Bolton. They did not mention the tinted windows. What's more amazing is i had a side shunt and had to replace the drivers door and the window, it was done at a Lexus approved repair centre. They said they had slight trouble in matching the tint but they found the NEW Toyota tint was the closest. This was 6 months ago, so are Toyota breaking the law ?
  9. :) I got these from the states at half that price including shipping, as mine is black with gold badging i was thinking of getting them gold plated. You can also get the rear set.
  10. Never seen this before, LEXUS 470, can anyone explain. Looked very new and very special but i've never heard of these. It was like a massive RX300.
  11. :P Oh dear, you missed my alltime favourites. School rice pudding with red jam (not sure what flavour you would call it). Conkers and the big bruise on your knee when you missed. Top Cat, woodentops,Dandy, Beano,Hotspur, and Magic Roundabout. Clip round the ear, never did that again! Playing football in the road. Not coming in when its time for tea. JUBLIES. Sherbert dabs. Extract of malt. CO OP insurance mans funny wallet that swallowed ten bob notes. MY secret den. Brylcreem. Sad init!
  12. ;) Had this one before i got my series 2 sports, yes it was the seal and if you use the silicone sealer and don't want a mess, cover the area with clingfilm while it is still wet and gently close the boot. You will find the silcone takes up the exact shape of the gap and you can remove the clingfilm when its dry.
  13. Like Steve, i am Technical Manager/Licensed Engineer for an airline at Stansted and believe me that pilot was a hero. This was an extreme condition which he understood to be a possible computer error, so many times pilots do not always believe what they see initially but their training tells them to analyise the situation before corrective action. There are a hell of a lot more incidents which the public are not aware of, not as bad as this one, which are notified immediately to all the industry so they can put their own action plan together to prevent another occurence. With such a large database to use, over many years, this has helped the safety records for aviation to be one of the best forms of transport we know. Example: within 24 hours ALL Airbus operators were aware of this incident. With my knowledge i still fly regulary, so do not panic and treat the experience of flying as part of your holiday and enjoy it ! Have a good trip Dave ! :winky:
