  1. Looking at the connector on the ebay link that also looks like there is two pin in the bottom, can you post a pic of the side view so we can see what wires there actually is going into the iso block. Most of them on ebay are not autoleads mate, so nothing to worry about there, mine isnt and works perfectly! Think it may be worth getting the HU checked if you still have no luck after making sure the connector on the amp side is pushed in as far as it can go.
  2. Just make sure you tighten them to the correct torque setting
  3. Or you could get a Grom unit and connect your ipod to it :winky: See here for Q&As!
  4. First thing is to confirm that you have the correct cable as there are 2 types that you can get, 1 for models with the amp and those without, the connectors should look like THIS if you have the amp. Suppose another thing to check is the connection behind the glove box, as its such a tight area to work in, maybe as simple at the connectors have not been pushed in all the way? Failing that, i would get the HU checked. Hope that helps!
  5. 1999-2003 =9006/HB4 2003 onwards = H3
  6. You wont be too happy about it when all that oil from the filter ends up on your MAF sensor and starts messing with the engine management. If I swap it back to standard will I need to do anything else other than resetting the ECU? Or is there anything that might need a clean? The ideal filter is one that imposes no restriction at all on air-flow. So to prove if your K&N is making matters worse - simply remove the element for a while unless where you drive is really dusty and gritty. There isn't any real evidence that oiled filters have any technical benefits over dry-media filters with a large effective area like the OEM types (these also offer more diffuse paths for the incoming air, better cancelling induction noise). Both eventually clog, and as a simple rule, the longer that takes; the less it is picking up of the stuff it is meant to stop. I thought that too but as the problem is intermitent you may have to drive a few days to notice if it has made any difference so not really an option.......just clean it
  7. You wont be too happy about it when all that oil from the filter ends up on your MAF sensor and starts messing with the engine management. Not if its oiled correctly with the correct amount if oil, also the IS doesnt have a MAF sensor, it uses a MAP sensor :winky:
  8. It's only happened a couple of times, and it's not as severe as what you've described but mine has shivered occasionally when stationary and revs drop really low. The other problem is sometimes it feels like the power doesn't come straight on, like there's a little lag when you press the accelerator. I might need to swap back to an OEM filter and see if that cures it then. Thanks for the advice :) no you need to clean it mate :tomato: mine is running perfect since i cleaned it
  9. tell him to get into gear
  10. Ok so where is the button to find i.e. the last day/week/months posts
  11. as above, avoid pattern parts, the oem oil filters are cheap as chips B).......opie oils do great deals on oil/ K&Nair filters
  12. was the first thing i thought of when i saw the title.....nice work mate B)
  13. Just a suggestion, maybe worth splitting them and pricing the 3 bits individually so people that dont want all 3 can state which they want and between 2/3 people make up the set, if that makes sence....i.e. Dave E already has a tte bumper so wouldnt want the front lip, but wants the skirts and rear lip and i want the front lip = 1 set ordered!
  14. Aftermarket HU is probably the easiest and cheapest route to go, most new HU have ipod connection aswell, heres a few pics of my install http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=65814&st=0&p=713045entry713045

Once you have the head unit out you need to unplug the cable going into the amp, which is to the left behing the glove box and connect the bypass lead to this cable which connects to the head unit.
