  1. The tube goes into the vent in the dash, however, apparently your not supposed to use this type (with the tube) on the IS200, not sure why but have read it here before, you need to get the 'bomb' types that you leave on the floor in the back of the car......i did this recently, got it from halfords......here
  2. Not too sure why you wouldnt want to get HIDs, probably cheaper than decent normal bulbs......however if your not wanting HID, PIAA bulbs are really good :)
  3. yeap, as above, either the bulb or fuse is blown, fuse for this should be in the driver side footwell. The gear surround pops up with a little help of a screwdriver, should you need to replace the bulb :)
  4. yeap thats way to expensive, i think i paid about £4 delivered.......LINK :winky:
  5. Think i saw a blue one on ebay the other day mate!!......I need to pop to the dealers for one of these clips myself, noticed one was missing ages ago!
  6. Next job was to run the cable though to the HU brain in the boot. Power lead and AI net cable going into the boot behind the back rest of the rear seat. Cables run along the under the case of rear seat Ai net, power ant, illum, ground run to centre console HU Display cable and aerial extension cables run along the other side of car HU Brain all connected up I then clipped all the carpet back together, put the rear reats back in, glove box etc, heres a pic of the unit Rear headrest screen fitted!
  7. Onto the amp bypass, Undone the nuts, released the bracket from the cable ties with a push with a screw driver Bypass cable connected and amp refitted
  8. Pics taken on my phone, so are not great quality!! So I started with this, stock HU with the Grom adapter (ipod cable sticking out under the trc button) Popped out the dash tray, my pops straight out with a little lift with a screwdriver here, IIRC there are 3 different ways this could be held down. Pull out the heated seat panel and mark the cable, or do what I done and take a picture! For info - If anyone is adding a grom unit, mine sat nice and snug here HU removed
  9. Mine is the 13902 (bottom loading) and it works fine!
  10. Yes mate you can get either a single or double din head unit. If you have the SE or sport you will need the bypass cable like this and also the facia kit here
  11. :P :P Sorry mate, didn't mean to totally contradict you there - just I have the TTE kit but my car's not lowered and to me it makes more of a difference than the other way round :) no worries mate, I'm just messing! ;)
  12. Heat gun or stick em in the oven (others have done this both successfully and unsuccessfully, be warned!!).....there are quite a few posts on opening the headlights up
  13. Hello mate, hope your well!!.....cars looking mints as usual!
  14. The New Sport's sit 15mm lower (think the older was 10mm, although im not 100% on this) if replaced with TTE springs (-30mm), the car will only drop a further 15mm bringing the total to 30mm. This would result in both the SE and Sport on TTE springs to be sat at exactly the same height.
  15. Its up to you mate, id go with the lowering, once the bumper is painted you can fit the bumper yourself B)
  16. I agree both cars would be at the same height after both being lowered by 30mm springs. Surely the car that previously had 50mm springs has dropped a further 10mm? Making the drop 40mm when compared to previous height? Nope it will still be the same distance from the floor......John there are a few pics of mine after being lowered on TTEs Here, make sure you get your geo done once they have been fitted aswell :winky:........If i remember right i paid about £110
  17. Come across this post the other day whilei was looking for something, tried plugging my iphone to my grom when i first got it ages ago and it come up the message saying it wasnt compatable blah blah and just thought it wouldnt play music Just tried and its works.....result dont need to carry the ipod as well now, cheers Aido!! :winky:
  18. Ive got the TTE one, takes a couple of minutes to stick on......tape is very sticky so make sure you put it down in the right place......wont be easy removing it if you get it wrong!!....got a few pics in my garage
  19. Ahhhh there you go, knew i cut some plastic off somewhere, just couldnt remember where!
  20. Yes, although you will need to buy the loom rather than just the holders and then cut the holders off....about £15 each from the dealers. You will also need to modify the fog light lens slightly to allow the 7443 holders to fit......once you get to that point of the install you will realise that you need to cut away a bit of the back of the lens or a tab on the holder (cant remember which i did) to allow it to fit, was about 6 odd years ago but i think i remember using wire cutter followed by a file to make the cut.
  21. If your only wanting to make the fogs act as side lights and fogs then you don't need any diodes. In response your query about them being bright enough, yes they will be as the dual fillament bulb is the same as that in the brake light, will be 'tail light' bright when tail lights are on and the usual brightness of the standard fogs when you turn the figs on. Hope that helps :winky:
