  1. My is300h advance my17 did not have front or rear sensors as standard, therefore this was my best option.
  2. They seem to work really well, giving you about 10 inches in the front before you get the constant tone. There is a very small blind spot right in front of the number plate which is about 2 inches wide, so a post maybe......
  3. Hi Mr Vlad. If you want to spend an additional £600 on the grill with the sensor placements then go ahead buddy! The Advance model does not come with front sensors, only the top of the range IS now has front parking sensors! If the grill had the places then it would have been a much easier job.
  4. Hello again people. Well after much hunting I finally got the front sensors fitted, all canbus controlled so no switch, just live at below 5 mph. Great job done at John Kleis and a special mention to Connor who made it happen! First of a kind for them and they had to buy stuff in for programming so if you are local to Reading, Berkshire then give him a call.
  5. Thanks Carl.. I did look at that option but the replacement grill was £500 plus and didn't include the parking sensors! MY17 models do not have it included except the top of the range model! Which is why i have had to go for a retro fit..... still costing me £649.00 but I am confident they will do a good job and they will be canbus controlled too, so no little switch to annoy the he'll out of my OCD! 😂😂😂😂
  6. Hi ST100, car booked in for the end of the month so pictures will follow but what was really funny was that they contacted the guys in Bristol that fitted yours and then shared a picture of what looked like your car!! Looks like the way yours have been fitted is the way to go! As I said pictures to follow once all done at the end of the month.
  7. I tried this and get the one flash to confirm I am now able to set it. But when I try to change using the intermittent control nothing seems to change? What am I doing wrong? Thanks.....
  8. Try these, Richbrook Spinning Car Anti-Theft Silver Alloy Wheel Valve Dust Caps - Set Of 4 They come in different colours and you will have hours of fun watching the little sh1ts trying to unscrew them...... 😂😂😂😂
  9. Hi DanD, these are the ones I have fitted to my CT. As you can see from the image they are fully reflective.
  10. If you have rear reflectors fitted as standard then they must remain. So if you install these then they must be reflective too, even though they illuminate when on..... that is my understanding and will be picked up at MOT. As I said I have something similar fitted to my current CT and they are fully reflective. In fact they reflect more than the stock ones I took off! My current car, soon to be replaced has gone through 3 MOT's and never failed. I guess I will just keep an eye out and wait for our friends in China to produce them with reflective qualities.
  11. Neil300h, where did you get yours? There are a couple of UK sellers but tbh they look the same so no reflection? Let me know.
  12. Thanks Rayanns. The seller came back and said they have no reflective quality so I will be leaving them well alone......
  13. Thanks for the reply. I fitted some thing similar to my CT. You just don't use them as turn markers, just don't connect that wire. You then have additional driving and break lights, perfect! However, they must remain reflective when off else could be an MOT fail. Which is why i asked the original question. I am sure the seller will come back and say yes but thought if someone has fitted them they would know.
  14. Has anyone purchased and fitted these? Also, if you have do you know if they maintain their reflective quality? I have asked the seller on that well known auction site but doubt whether I get an honest response?
  15. Thanks Steve. I seem to spend my time looking at is300's to see if they have them fitted. Big ask but if you get a chance then maybe upload a picture? I was told that flush fit cannot be canbus controlled which is probably why you have your switch.....
  16. Thanks Steve. The company that supplied me with the image also said that canbus works with these and my IS, therefore doing away with the switch, they would charge about £350 fitted. My reputable car electronics company said they have not fitted them to an IS but would make it work and look like a factory fit, but for £750! I am torn and the dealers are as much use as a handbrake on a canoe on this subject, great for everything Lexus but once you step out from all things Lexus they just seem to have no great advice. Don't get me wrong I am not knocking them but I find it hard to believe that 2 dealers have never had or seen front parking sensors fitted...... I pick up the car in a couple of weeks so will wait to see what the rears look like (flush or not). If not flush I might just go for the image option and canbus.......
  17. I looked at this type of solution but doing some homework uncovered that this system is not very reliable and tbh if you can't rely on it then there is no point having it! I am still on the hunt. I was sent the attached image but then another reputable car electronics fitting company said that where the front sensors had been placed would leave a massive blind spot on the very front. So, the story continues and please keep the ideas coming.....
  18. Thanks Rayanns. The grill on the advance does not have the sensor holes, not even blanked, so I would need to swap the grill, that on its own is £500 according to the dealer! There is just no easy way to fit them, which is why when I have asked a couple of the larger installation companies (just Google parking sensors) and you will know who I mean both said that they were unable to fit them. I am having the rears fitted by the dealer but even then they do not integrate with rear camera, just a buzzer. They are only fully integrated on the rear if specified at the factory.... or so I have been led to believe. I am guessing I will have to do without unless someone on here has managed to get it done!
  19. Hi there I have a CT currently and you are correct but they are more forward facing as they are positioned on the front of the bumper. The holes on the IS that fitters would use are facing left and right if that makes sense, and cars with them fitted at the factory use a different grill which has 2 forward facing sensors. I have found a local car HiFi centre which will attempt it and build 2 brackets for the grill plus a canbus for £900!! Yes £900, which even I just can't afford...... I think I will just have to live without them.......
  20. Thanks guys for helping so far but has anyone had them fitted? Feedback would be useful. The dealer did say that someone did have them fitted but due to the large grill they could only be corner mounted in the bumper and therefore did not give full frontal cover?
  21. Mr Vlad....... if I could afford it I would but sometimes the wallet has to rule the head!
