  1. I may have to whisper this but I have had my IS220 SE for a year now and still think its great. Lots of lovely torque, very comfortable in long drives and I get reasonable MPG from it even in shocking driving. Dealer has been excellent as usual (had a 200 before). The heated seats have been lovely these cold mornings. Cant fault it (really).
  2. Bought my 220d in the UK last September - phoned the dealer who told me mine is to new for the recall.
  3. I always used Toyos on my IS200 and they gave good wear, grip and life and were a lot cheaper than better known brands too. The 'performance' guys seem to like them so that reassured me about their quality. Got an IS220SE in November and after years of my dealer sniffing at tht Toyos - what was fitted as standard ? Yup Toyos.
  4. I've had my 220d SE for a month now - and I'm getting around 35mpg (by fuel in vs miles driven rather than the computer) in really really bad driving conditions (my IS200 gave 26mpg in the same conditions). It is my first diesel and I have to say I went to the dealers being totally anti diesel and looking for a used IS250. They did such a good deal on a new 220d SE that I went for it and I have to say I am very happy. The torque is excellent and it actually feels a bit pokier than the IS200 despite being obviously heavier. I cant use 6th gear yet even when cruising at 80. Best I've got is a run of 100 miles on A roads which averaged 45 mpg (according to the computer). If when the car loosens up I get better mpg then I will be extremely happy indeed.
