Thanks very much Colin that makes sence now think I've found a pick of the water drain screw.. Still not sure if there's a canister fuel filter on the engine.. I thought there was 1 but not sure now.. Thanks for your help ta dave

Hi can anyone help me. Trying to see if my lexus is 220d has 2 fuel filters one under the left rear wheel and one in the engine bay as there are 2 different filters on ebay also is there a water sediment drain anywhere thanks dave

Just a update for anyone with similar problem..I unsiezed the egr valve by scraping and carb cleaner..it was free but by time I reassembled and tested I thin the carb cleaner carbon mix solidified and stuck..so I pushed it In and out a couple of times..removed the spring span the valve with a drill on th end blew the egr clean with air reassembled and allis well!...

Hi any help appreciated..my 2009 Lexus is 220d malfunction and traction control lights come on limp mode. fault was egr valve code reader attached cleaned the egr which was slightly open due to carbon..but wasn't to badly carbonated but the inlet manifold where it bolts on was really blocked. hole was about 6mm after cleaning was as big as a fifty pence piece about 40 to 50 mm tried to stop as much carbon entering the manifold as possible..put it all back together it was as fast as it's ever been if not the faster ..but as soon as the temperature reaches 50 degrees (obd reader attached) the car goes back into limp mode..any ideas my guess it's the egr electric soloniod part.. anybody know better thanks dave

hi anybody know why my windows are rolling down on there own...the only thing i can say maybe wheather related as its just starting to hit 0 degrees...the front windows droped about 150mm each...i sent them up the following morning when i noticed..and 3 days later car has not been used and left rear droped 100mm...and right about 10mm any ideas....thanks dave...ps hade the car 2 years not done this before and i dont think anyone is playing with remote as my house is to far away for remote to work
