Thanks for the great advise and information. I've have 2 Skyline R33 GTST's and an R33 GTR over the last 6 years. The turbos can be a little flaky if your example has been thrashed and to be honest I fancy a change. The V8 was the way I was looking at going tbh but as I don't know anything about them I thought I'd better ask. Thanks again guys.

According to Wikipedia, both the 3.0 litre Soarer (Z30 model) and the GS300 both use the 2JZ-GE16 engine (n/a models). The twin turbo GS300 models use the 2JZ-GTE16 Whats the better engine? The 3.0L 2JZ-GE I6, the 4.0L 1UZ-FE V8 or the 2.5L 1JZ-GTE I6 turbo?

I tried to join them as well but strangely enough they're not taking anymore new members. :megaangry: It's a bit weird and very frustrating as i'm a new/future owner and want to learn more about these cars.

Looking to buy my first Soarer and i was wondering what engine is the better of the two. The 1UZ-FE thats in a 4.0 L V8 that I'm interested in or the 2JZ engine thats in the 3.0 L. Do they both use coil packs for instance? Forgive my ignorance but i've had Skylines for the last 6 years and know bugger all about these beasts. Any advise would be welcome. I posted a link up in the General Questions along with 3 links to cars that i'm interested in. Any advise on those as well would be great. Thanks :D

Right i'm looking to buy my 1st Soarer. I've had 3 Skylines i the past and fancy a change. What models are the best ones to go for? Any that i should avoid and equally are there any that are more sort after than others? Turbo or non-turbo? What should i look for when viewing? Are there any typical places that are rust havens for example? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
