Well after 10 months ownership, I’ve decided to take a hit on the trade in and opted to get a Octavia vRS. So why, well…..it’s been a good companion over this period and I’ve managed a long term tank to tank average of 49.9mpg over this time which is excellent given it’s relative performance and size but a few things have just got me to a point that I needed to change: 1) Boot is ridiculously small given the cars size - I play in a couple of rock groups and struggle to get all my gear in it and also as we have a large Sprocker when we go on holiday it’s difficult to get all our gear and hers in and end up with loads on the backseat with her. 2) Handling sometimes leaves a lot to be desired-bends I can rattle round in a number of other cars often make me clench my arse when in the UX 3) Despite the excellent look of the seats in the front it has started to give me sciatica on longer trips so it’s so long and thanks for all the fish😂

Welcome! Yes, having not long driven a Bridgestone shod UX back to back with my Dunlops I would say they are well noisier-feel your pain!

Had a loan car last week whilst mine having its first service and it was a Bridgestone shod UX - on the same road as mine with Dunlops it was significantly noisier - like annoyingly loud!

How do you manage that?

TBF - I find the auto highbeam really unreliable as seems to dazzle more often than not so I just don’t bother anymore and either use the old fashioned stalk method or press the auto button on and off

I had to change mine to Bosch about 6 months in to ownership - the Lexus ones are garbage and the Bosch ones are the best

I have Dunlop RFT’s on my UX and they certainly seem to be fairly quiet - however I’m not impressed with their wet road holding - I’m a fairly quick driver and a number of times have been surprised by the ease they slide into understeer….

Motorway driving just kills the hybrid economy as it rarely runs on battery unless driven at lower speeds than 60mph (like all the Tesla drivers hypermiling😂) I usually get best mpg on mixed speeds on A and B roads but even though it’s been so mild recently mpg is continuing to fall - it’s due it’s first service in March so will see if they have an answer

I had an NX and a Toyota Camry hybrid and neither of those suffered from this issue - never had to turn heating off in any car before…Tbf I used to bet significantly better mpg from the Camry with a 2.5L engine and as such am a little disappointed with the UX

I’ve had many cars over the years and never experienced a 20% drop in fuel economy in winter (unfortunately I’m particularly anal about recording real mpg)

Not sure what’s going on but my 250h has started returning really poor mpg - mid to high 40mpg rather than mid 50’s - similar journeys and no real change in driving style - is it really that temperature sensitive as it’s started getting cooler or is it rubbish fuel? Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Find mine will work at 30mph but tbh the system is ******* as it often doesn’t pick oncoming cars until dazzling them so tend to just press the button on the end if the stalk to turn auto on and off….

Yep - it’s proper bobbins! So last night traveling from Rugby to Stone it decided yet again to stop recording about 10 miles from home - it really is not fit for purpose….

It’s working intermittently for me again - yesterday it stopped monitoring a trip from stone to Ludlow about 10 miles from journeys end and I hadn’t switched off or stopped or anything-very frustrating 🤬

So now the app reckons I’m doing 500mpg+ ffs 🤦‍♂️

Think your calculations are in error - that’s around 44mpg…

I’ve checked on the web app as well and that hasnt picked up journeys too so there must be a major glitch in the software I suspect….

Had an annoying run in with a bit of road debris (think it was a small road works sign fallen from a truck) that has broken the plastic trim and aero on my passenger rear - anyone know where I might be able to get one of these without getting skinned by taking it to a Lexus garage to sort as it’s a simple snap fit affair?

I wonder if the hive can help me - the Lexus Link app seems to only intermittently pick up journeys recently - for instance yesterday made a 120 mile journey from Anglesey to Ludlow without any stops and it only picked up about the first 40 miles of the trip and today it hasn’t picked up a 60 mile trip from Ludlow to Stafford. Has only started doing this recently so wonder if there has been a software update that has caused a glitch?

Car computer figures always tend to be up to 10% ambitious over true tank to tank measurements - I’ve been incredibly anal about mpg for over 40 years and the true figures always show up this discrepancy 😂

You can get information similar to this through the Lexus Link App but this of course is based on the theoretical mpg that you see on the dash rather than true tank to tank measurements
