Mine went missing over night too, in north London N11. I only just spent £500 getting it serviced this week, now this!!

if it's 2005 then it's a RX400h which is good news as there are more of them in breakers yards. But you will be replacing the heating/nav and audio sysytem as it's all done from the same box. I've seen the whole system listed for around a grand before, it was on ebay, might be worth checking if it's still listed. There is a complete installation guide available on the Toyota site (attached) which will give you an idea of what's involved to install the entertainment system so you would have to add the camera to that..... There are loads of adds like this where they don't have a phone number and the description is of the same style and the car way cheaper than all the other of a similar spec/age...they are scams!!!!

Sounds pretty bad mate. As the fault keeps coming back it's obviously something else and probably serious enough to generate an error code so see what the new codes are and look into them.

Hi, just signed up after getting an '06 RX400h and first thing i wanted to address was the lack of light for reversing at night!! Can someone please post the actual PDF or the instructions for taking out the shield as although i've signed up on the US forum it wont let me access it ;o( Many thanks Raj
