  1. At the moment due to Christmas and work I have yet to sort it out. It hasn't done it since the last 2 episodes. I'm still yet to plug it into Techstream. I must take it to work and get into the workshop to have a play. I will keep this updated on any findings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That's exactly right and nothing to worry about. You can never fully fill the meter. As said on Lexus US site it's a safety feature for the lithium batteries. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sorry I know little about the 220 but as you say it doesn't do it all the time could it be doing a DPF regen? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Good to know. I'll be changing some things on mine with Techstream soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hi and welcome from another Bournemouth resident. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I just took another photo of the rear legroom. I'm 6'4" and the seat isn't quite fully back but the passenger one is. Only my wife and I are in the car all the time. Sorry for dark picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That could be its downfall for you which is a shame. The boot space is level and fairly big but it has no depth to it.
  8. Do test drive a CT although you won't be disappointed. Full Lexus luxury and great fuel economy. It also charges itself! The suspension is firm but not that you'll find it uncomfortable. It is a 1800 kg car. I have a 2011 SE L Premier with every added extra incl Mark Levinson sound system which is amazing. It's on 72K and still drives like a new car. Good luck in your choice. 9. Could be the engine is still a bit tight being so new (running in?) Also don't always go for electric or Eco mode as they're mpg killers I've found. Pulse and glide can help on open roads but round town there's not much choice. Most of mine is 90% town and I drive it like normal and if it goes electric it's a bonus. You do have to be quite light footed to keep it in the Eco zone as said. I'm sure you'll get better results as you put mileage on the engine. Happy Christmas everyone! 10. Just filled up an hour ago and I managed this result. Very mixed driving with Shell V Power (£1.28 litre ouch) not bothering to drive it like a hybrid and a good old hard drive in Sport mode occasionally. 56.5mpg for last week is quite good considering the cold weather. 11. Ah yes I see now. It also describes right and left hand cables for the parking brake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I'd say 90% it's in Normal mode the the occasional blast in Sport. I don't drive it like a hybrid and if it runs on electric then it's a bonus. I read up on this on the Prius forum. If you always keep in electric you won't get good mpg. It's true as when I first got it I was paranoid about trying to pulse and glide all the time and the mpg was always very low 40,s. Now driving normal it's gone up to the figures I've shown. Weird. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yes I've just installed Toyota Techstream. I'll plug it in and see what's happening. I'll also switch the reverse beeping to one beep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I have been recently the last month or so. I've just filled up with Shell V power and given it a "spirited" few drives in Sport mode up to full rpm. It runs better with this fuel compared to normal (placebo effect?). It hasn't done it since. It is a well known problem that has now reared its head with hybrid Auris cars now as well as Prius. Most reports are from when the weather is very cold and first engine fire up after electric motor. I'm very curious as to how blocked the EGR and pipe is but I'm going to have to leave it until after Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Do these have handbrake shoes on the back as well as pads? I know some other Lexus have them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I only like the rev counter when it turns Red and it's playtime! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Glad you're enjoying the CT [emoji1360] I've been using Fuelly for months. The cold is taking its toll abit but not too bad really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Didn't get round to cleaning it out this weekend as I've had no problems. Just given it a one shot fuel treatment to help shift some crud. Engine comes in seamlessly now compared to before. I'll change the plugs soon as everything else is done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yes exactly this. Unfortunately it's only a US recall. I've watched some videos and it's quite common to CT and Prius and the noise is exactly the same. I'll just take off the EGR and pipe and clean them out,it's a quick easy job. Today it didn't do it as it's not cold here(12 degrees). Only when it's cold. Strange. 20. So the last few days the CT has decided to have bad engine starting from cold. A lot of shuddering and misfiring then gradually clears. Drives great after this. It makes a hell of noise and is quite worrying. I got a feeling it's the EGR valve at fault ( quite a common problem apparently also to the Prius). Obviously Lexus aren't helpful and just want your £132 hourly diagnostic charge. He did say they've had a few of them recently with this problem and it "could " be the EGR or other things. A new valve is £260 so I'm going to have a go at cleaning it out at the weekend with some Carb cleaner. I've watched a few videos of this on YouTube and seems straight forward to do. Maybe after 72K it's getting a bit coked up? I did put it in Sport mode last night and gave a good hard drive to clear it a bit and today I didn't get poor starting. It's quite well known on the Prius forum and has good results after. Anything to save a few pounds [emoji4] I'll report back with the result. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks for correcting me as I'm not familiar with the IS trim levels. SE is still a nice spec [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Welcome [emoji4] Yes I found the Sat Nav is over complicated. I have a DAB button but no DAB haha. I'm not paying Lexus the £495 they want to fit it either. Enjoy your CT the luxury is great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I think it's SE L but could be Premier too? My CT is a SE L Premier as it's got Leather,Sat Nav and Mark Levinson system. I think ML was only in the Premier spec? But could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Happens to me everytime I wash the car and leave it in the garage overnight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Very true that. Body heat/breath and a cold car = steamed up windows instantly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
