  1. I know on mine i have the DAB button but in the menu it,s greyed out and cannot use it.Lexus are quoting me £450 to fit a module and an internal aerial.Basically it,s plug and play on mine(2011). You should have some sort of wiring in your shark fin aerial as i don,t see what an empty case can do.Maybe it,s not reconnected?
  2. I had this converstaion with Lexus UK on the 15th March this year so i don,t believe that there,s been an increase in price.
  3. I had this trouble with a dealer i went to (local) who wanted to charge me £325 fitted.I phoned Lexus UK who stated that it,s a fixed price of £250 fitted. I now use a dealer 36 miles away from me to do any work/servicing and who fitted it for £250.Well done Lexus Hedge End and shame on you Lexus Poole for ripping people off.
  4. Been reported many times on Lexus US forum that it,s probably the clock spring behind the steering wheel as already stated.Seems to be a common problem on these.
  5. I always buy my parts from you guys.Great service as always.
  6. There,s nothing out there for the early versions like mine and yours and it,s dealer only.Even then it will still be out of date as no more support for it.Like yourself i rarely use it.
  7. The CT makes alot of strange noises when braking in any conditions.Mine does too and has always done it since new(2011) up until now at 110K.The loan CT i was given when mine was being serviced at Lexus even made these noises and that was brand new with 22 miles on it.
  8. Fingers crossed it,ll just buff out as said.
  9. Yes you can use 2000 or 3000 wet and dry to flatten it out and then buff/polish it up again.I had some deep swirls in mine and this method worked a treat on it and can,t be seen now.Mine is Pearl Arctic White and didn,t affect the paint.
  10. I,ve taken out this offer on my 2011 CT last October .I paid £495. It,s come in handy already as it has had a warranty job done on it.Not bad for a 9 and half year old car with 110K.
  11. There,s much better products out there than T Cut now which i wouldn,t use.I don,t think it will make it worse by trying to buff it out first. If you can post a photo on here of what it looks like so we can help you.Touching up with paint will make it worse depending on the depth of the scratch. If its swirls as you say it could just buff/polish out.
  12. Megs Ultimate compound then Autoglym SRP finished with Sonax BSD.They never stain or turn yellow.Last time i done them was about 3 years ago.
  13. I,ve been deciding over a while now to actually facelift the front and rear bumpers. It,s quite difficult to get the later front bumper with headlight wash as well as sensors.Maybe i could delete the function and just have sensors? The rear bumper isn,t a problem and is very easy. Just buffed up the headlights again. Fitted a facelift gearknob.
  14. Just to update this. I didn,t go down the welding route with this so i had a new rear section fitted today at a Lexus dealer. They done me a good deal on it and gave me 15% discount plus another 15% discount with the Lexus Owners Club card. Great service from Lexus Hedge End again.Whilst waiting i also bought the wife a Toyota Aygo from the adjoining Toyota dealership.
  15. The original alloys on my SE L Premier were really in bad condition.I had the chance to buy a set of 4 facelift alloys in Black from a 2017 F Sport.I jumped at them as soon as i saw them. All 4 wheels are immaculate like new and the original factory fit Yokohama tyres had about 5mm left on each. The car looks great with them now.Totally changes the appearance.
  16. Nice.I wanted one but it won,t fit in my garage. The CT just about goes in leaving me room to get out.An IS would be too long.
  17. Nice job there especially as you done it as a DIY job.
  18. The only way around this as stated is to reposition the horn and its wiring so it can,t be seen or got at.There is plenty of room down the front on one of these. It,s something i shall be doing very soon.
  19. I,m suprised they could get through the later Spindle grille design on yours whereas the early models like mine are very easy.
  20. The other day when i had my Catloc fitted at the dealer i took them up on a free health check for the CT. The fitter noticed i had a broken rear exhaust mount near the rear silencer.Lexus quoted me £595 to fit a new rear section which i declined as they,re only interested in fitting a complete part and not repairing it. I.m going to get it welded back on at an independent garage i know who does exhaust fabrication. My question is will they have to just disconnect the small 12v battery in the boot or will the traction battery have to be disconnected also? Is that the small plug in the boot?
