  1. Hey Rayaans Sadly i didnt get chance to look at this over the weekend Im going to try this week all being well. No i dont think it is i know that while and the one happening on my car is a deeper noise. Matthew
  2. Ahh thanks Rutlandlex i will take a looks and see. It could be something like that. It comes on usually around the 40mph mark. Perhaps when im going faster it could be there but other noises drown it out etc. Slightly annoying as i love how quite the machine is just this whirring noise spoiling it all!
  3. That actually might make sense i do seem to remember the noise after i had either a tyre change or a puncture plugged. Gonna check everything out this weekend and have a look see what I find. Thanks for the reply :)
  4. They are all Pirelli P-Zero is it. Its intermittent so not too sure i think if it was the tyres it would be more constant perhaps? I will check the slide pins this weekend and also bearings and report back the findings. Many thanks for the help so far.
  5. I will be doing the wobble test this weekend to see what is happening. I stupidly forgot to mention that it did get serviced recently by LexTek autos in Sheffield (Who was great by the way if you are wanting someone to service your lexus). So i would of thought a Wheel Bearing would of been ok. You never know though could of just got worse.
  6. Ahh many thanks I will take a look at this and take it from there!
  7. Hi guys great forum you have here! I have had a search and not found anything concrete about my issue. So I am going to post. If there is a post already I do apologise and feel free to point me in the right direction. My problem: I have a 2008 RX400h which i love. I have had it over one year now and it doesn't miss a beat. There is however a whirring noise coming from either the drivers front or rear wheel. It appears at random times and doesn't always stay for long. Sometimes however it can be on for a while. Sort of a whirring/light groaning noise but its not constantly on. I have tried to wind the window down however it doesn't seem to make it any easier to hear. I was wondering if it was a wheel baring but I have no idea how to check and it doesnt seem to get any worse etc so not sure if its something todo with the hybrid drive. Any ideas would be greatly received. Thanks in advance. Matthew
  8. Just bashed my passenger front wing on a bollard in a supermarket car park (Feel ridiculous, the thing wasn't in any of my mirrors though really sneaky.) Been talking to my friend who owns a bodyshop and he said that the best thing would be to check ebay/internet first see if i can get a wing for him to spray if not £170 for a new one from main dealer. I am just having a look on ebay and couldnt see anything. but was wondering if an RX300 or RX350 wing may fit? Would love to know as the cars look very similar but i know this isnt always the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D
  9. Hey PCM. well yes i thought they would but one of them keeps popping back up!! I have tried to push down with a bit of extra force too but not much luck :(
  10. Hey just got an Rx400h and I am loving it and also this forum. It has already taught me quite a lot :D I was going to go for an GS450h but sadly i needed more boot storage space. One problem I have with it is I seem to have a bit of an issue with not being able to close the boot storage lids. They are popped open and I cant feel anything for them to latch onto. The lid has a type of hook on it but I cant feel anything below it that would seem to allow it to 'clasp' onto it to keep it down. Any ideas would be great. I didn't really know what to google and I ended up just seeing a lot of boot liners and storage things. This isn't my car but i am not at hand to however this one shows them nice and shut :D
  11. Ahh thanks guys, I will post when i have seen a decent spec'd one i like. The ones i wanted have gone :( The search continues! So excited haha..
  12. Hey there. I am going to look at a couple of GS450h that I have seen in auto trader. I have an £8k budget. I have seen a couple that fit the bill nicely all seemingly with full service history and lots of toys. Is there anything in particular that i need to look out for when buying a GS450h? I have never bought a hybrid or driven one for that matter so not sure if there is anything else I need to look out for. One of the vehicles is a 57 (2007) plate with 113k on the clock the other is a 56 (2006) with 99k on the clock. There is such a lot of equipment in the cars that Im not sure i will remember to check it all works when I go visit them! Would love to hear any tips or bits of info. I cant wait to get one and be a part of the club :D Matthew
  13. Just a quick hello from Yorkshire. Hopefully I will be getting my lexus soon can't wait to be a part of the club!
