  1. I've tried everything in this thread and it appears that the 2006 SE-L isn't compatible with this. I will have to ask my dealer
  2. I followed the video instructions and they don't work on my 2006 IS250; SE-L Can I download the diagnostic program and use my Bluetooth ODB?
  3. Thanks for the video. Looks straightforward. Do your happen to know the bulb size? Thanks
  4. Can I download the software from here? https://www.toyota-tech.eu/GTS/Wizard/Step5-Software.aspx and use my Bluetooth ODB to program everything I want?
  5. Amazing! This is what I needed. I'll have Lexus do this when the car is in for an oil service next. Thanks!!
  6. Hi. Manual doesn't give me any options to do it myself. The back of the manual refers to dealer settings that can be altered. However, it doesn't mention automatic Central locking
  7. Hi All, I have a 2006 IS250 SE-L. I'd like the car to lock automatically (central locking) after I start driving and if possible, unlock when I put the car into Park. Is this possible? Thanks
  8. Hi All, My gearbox Shift Selector Light on the centre console has gone out so you can't see the gear that you've selected at night (the dashboard selector still works and lights up). Does anyone know the bulb details? Preferably, I'd like to replace it with a white LED as I believe it is currently a green light. US forums have identified it as a #74 bulb...do we call it something different? Thanks guys.
  9. I'd love to have a V8 ''F' for 24hours Still, the RC300 would be nice too - I really like the blue Lexus offer. Stunning car. Watch out for the insurance excess! Pretty sure the loan car agreements I've signed are £1000? At one point I was contemplating putting the car on my insurance... but then decided I didn't want Lexus affecting my premiums. They are pretty decent about the wear and tear anyway.
  10. Quick question, why does the IS250 rev 'high' when cold starting? Is it something to do with the VVTI / catalytic burning? I think it does this for a while (if idle) and then settles. I love cold starts and seeing the exhaust condensation - with the twins pipes you see a lot of 'smoke' from the Lexus and other large engined petrol cars. I believe petrol burns at a higher temperature than diesel so this might be why too? Sorry for my lack of knowledge.
  11. Interesting replies and great tips on the oil change intervals. So did you guys unanimously vote for C3 or A5? If C3, then my question would be Castrol Edge or Magnatec? I've always used Edge in previous cars but I'm happy to use the other stuff based on your recommendations, Thanks!
  12. Hi all, I'm reviving this thread as I didn't get a chance to show you my refurbed alloys. I'm very happy with the colour - Nissan's 'Gun Metallic' Grey (code KAD) Ps. I've posted this in the ISF forum too as I had another 'alloy wheel colour' topic going on there and wanted to thank them for their help and show them the results.

  14. Hi All, Apologies, I know this topic has been discussed widely. I have searched the forums and Google but still require clarification as some people are providing conflicting information. I have a 2006 IS250 and I need oil. Castrol Oil recommendation tool states: Magnatec Stop-Start 5W-30 A5 and Magnatec Stop-Start 5W-30 C3 Opie Oils recommendation tool states: Magnatec Stop-Start 5W-30 C3 My forum searches bring back a range of recommendations because some people say you need Decos2 compliant oil (C3) whereas others recommend the A5. The Lexus manual which I found online (http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM53508U/pdf/OM53508U.pdf) states "SAE 5W-30 is the best choice for good fuel economy and good starting in cold weather. If SAE 5W-30 is not available, SAE 10W-30 may be used. However, it should be replaced with SAE 5W- 30 at the next oil change". It doesn't tell me whether I need A5 or C3. Can anyone assist me in deciding between Magnatec Stop-Start 5W-30 A5 and Magnatec Stop-Start 5W-30 C3. Thanks!
