  1. John I believe this is what you are talking about. I don't have an idea how this needs to be slotted.
  2. I can see the bar you mentioned at the back of the carpet. Do i need to slot it out somewhere?
  3. Hi As i mentioned before, it is too late for now as both of them have mentioned that they have not seen this. How do i fix this now? If i need to look into ebay or lexus spare parts, what should i be telling them?
  4. Hi I have a 2009 IS250 and not sure of the technical name that I am going to explain in this forum. When i had flat tyre, the AA guys came and replaced the spare wheel and local garage had fixed my tyre puncture. Someone has removed the support above spare wheel on the mat and I am not sure who. When i try to put things in my boot, it just goes downward and realized something is missing which supports the boot mat. I tried my luck asking both local garage and AA and no luck since this happened a month ago and i didn't realize till now as i was out of city. If i need to look for parts or even explain this, not sure what to mention. Am posting you the pictures here to have better understanding. There should be something between the spare wheel and the floor mat else if i keep something on top of the mat, it just goes under.
  5. Hi I bought a used Lexus 2009 with 39k only from dealer. It was all ok until last week, I am hearing a bit of whining noise while acceleration and it is there until 2 gears, Mine is automatic and the initial sound looks higher when pressing the gas pedal and goes away once the gear gets changed. I also checked when the car is in parking mode and raised the acceleration, and it is normal. This sound was not there when i bought it initially and the sounds were all very smooth. Maybe i am just noticing them since it was hot summer when i bought a month ago and the air condition and audio was always on. But i still feel the sound started . I am not panicking as the sound looks ok and manageable, but wanted to ensure that there is nothing wrong with my car since the same sound was not there before.
  6. It is exactly A321, some big mansion , looks private. So, i hope i am safe :)
  7. I just checked and it is exactly sandhurst road towards Finchamstead road near nine mile road. Attached the map where i missed the roundabout and turned back.
  8. Hi I highly doubt it was RMA. The road i went is called sandhurst road and the building was shown something ending with 'Manor', can't remember correctly. It looked like private gate with just sign board mentioning no turning and no parking. It was a narrow road with big turning space near the gate. I didn't even go near the gate. Regards Silentbull
  9. HiThis might be bit crazy question. But when i was travelling on sandhurst road, i missed an roundabout and need to turn around. I saw a big space which seems to be like a private mansion or public building not sure. When i was about to turn putting my indicator, the front of the building had a sign ' no turning', 'no parking', cctv camera in operation. But it was too late for me to stop the car and I have already turned.Have I commited any crime or will i get any lawsuit or penality?I am bit panic person and having sleepless nights on this. Don't judge me, I might have a fear phobia! Please advise.RegardsSilentbull
  10. Hello It is just the mindset since the car was bought only two weeks ago and already scratches in the side windows. My insurance does cover for scratch glass. But the question is whether to go with autoglass or lexus original or just live with it. Autoglass claims that lexus does not make any windows and the same supplier supplys to them. the only difference is logo. I am bit concerned whether the car value reduces if i don't put lexus windows. Having said that, i don't have any plans of selling my car atleast for 5 years since the mileage is just 39k. So your advice on this is much appreciated. I also have very small dots which are defintely not marks in the windscreen, not sure how it is caused again, is there any way that these can be repaired rather than replaced. It can't be seen while driving and the vision is perfectly fine.
  11. Hi Even i have vertical scratches only, but it is clearly visible. Does polishing able to faint these?
  12. Hi I think i figured out how the scratches were done, probably combination of hand wash and weather to blame. When they sprayed chemicals, it was so hot that all those liquid were getting bit solid and would have stuck in the rubber seals and when they try to up and down the windows, the scratches would have gone. Now what is the next solution, should i wait for the weather to dry and see how it looks or call my insurance and replace it. Is it worth having fitted with different manufactureres?
  13. Hi Please find the pictures. I did went to the dealer showroom and they mentioned they have not seen anything like this and advised me to go for insurance. I am sure it was not hidden as it defenitely caused something at car wash. There are no dusts on the rubber seals and i have been operating that for quite 2 weeks. It is just yesterday the scratches appeared after car wash.
  14. Hi I recently bought a used vechicle from lexus showroom and after couple of weeks went to first car wash. When i came back, the front side windows have full of vertical scratches all straight lines. It doesn't seem to be man made, but not sure how it caused. Based on my friends advice tried polishing, but still didn't go, when i wake up today morning I saw minute chips in the windscreen as well. Not sure how that also caused. Now it seems i have minute chip in windscreen and deep scratches in side windows Feeling very low on this. I have the following options, please advise 1. Call the insurance and replace the windscreen and side windows - If i use this, what effect will i have with my insurance next year and most probably they will replace similar brand i believe and not lexus original. 2. Can the windscreen be repairable as it has lot of minute chips less than a rice grain size. 3. Replace only side windows and i can live with windscreen - Will this affect the value of car 4. Buy second hand windows and windscreen and go to local garage to replace - By this, i get original lexus and cheap labour. Any thoughts
