Hi Thanks for your response. I think that the dpf is the next problem you get after the egr valve clogging up, so I am hoping that a egr valve deletion and remapping will prevent any further problems. I understand that dpf removal is probably illegal in the UK, although a lot of people seem to do it.

I have a 2009 IS 220d which keeps getting the erg valve blocked and goes into limp mode. I am considering getting it blanked off and the ecu re-programmed. Has anyone else done this on this model, and was it successful?
