  1. Hi I have a dilemma. I have to get rid of my LS400 (H reg). Its been off the road for about 1 year with some sort of fuel problem (could be as small as a broken wire or as big as a fuel pump). I put a notice on here saying I would sell it for spares or repair but it never was posted. I figured it was pulled because I wasnt a 'Gold' member but its silly joining just to sell the car. Now I can sell it through a autotrader paper or make it available to members here who will make more use of it. The car is in good condition with a great engine other than this fuel problem. I even have some unused gold emblems which have never even been fitted. I'm quite willing to sell it to the best offer (it needs collecting though!) and would much prefer it if it went to an existing Lexus owner/fan. Cheerz Doc docroy@ntlworld.com
  2. Hi I have a H reg LS400. About a year ago it stopped running. Initial investigations showed that it was fuel related. It could be anything from a wire that has corroded or broken, to a fuse thats blown to (ultimately) a dodgy fuel pump. The reality is, although I love the Lexus, its a luxury I can no longer afford. The car is in good condition. Dark Green with about 130,000 miles but before this problem not a hint of any trouble. We even have a spare set of the gold emblems never used!!!! In my heart I'd love to get it on the road again and sorted but due to redundancy this ain't gonna happen any time soon so, maybe its time to sell it. Great engine, good bodywork. Any ideas?
  3. Hi Guyz Seeing as I found this haven of Lexus delight, I thought I'd ask another question that has irritated me for months. I have a 'H' reg 400. Only problem is (other than the fuel / wont go problem in an earlier post *sniff*) is that my radio/air con displays have gotten very misted up. It started with a slight amount that cleared up after the car warmed up but now its completely opaque when the car is stood. and takes ages (hours) to clear itself before coming back when its been stood. It had that problem when I first got the car but the garage cleared it up. I know its a water/damp based problem but how do i get to it and clear it up myself? Again - thanks a lot.
  4. Hi WOW - great forum - wished i'd found it months ago! A few months ago as I was driving home in my LS400. The car acted as though it had run out of fuel. elt sluggish, then stalled, started again for a few seconds and cut out. Luckily it was a couple of hundred yards from home so it coasted on to the driveway (although steering and stopping without power was scarey!). The car woldn't start agin and although it was low on fuel, it wasn't out. I put an emergency can of fuel in just in case the gauge was faulty but no luck. When I switch the ignition on, there is no sound when I think i usually hear the fuel pump. Any ideas? Is there a fuse or something I could check? Thanks guys Roy
