  1. Is there any particular additive that should be added on every fourth petrol top up? Any recommendations would be helpful. :-)
  2. What tyres did you get for your rear? And was the specs 245/45/R17?
  3. Hi Guys, just wanted to update you that I have reverted back to a normal policy with paying back an amount of £70 due to the discount being removed.I increased my voluntary excess by another £50 to give a further reduction of £20. So, net amount paid back to Admiral is £50
  4. Hi Guys, I need your opinion asap as to whether installing the Little Box is an advantage or not? Any one has got anything to share regarding this?
  5. Ahh right...Sorry for getting that wrong and guys, apologies for misleading you all. Just getting to know my car and a special thanks to Shaphor for coming down and explaining things in a crisp and clear manner. Owe you one, mate. On the idling part, we saw it at 1.5k RPM on initial start and came down to 1.1k a while later. After driving the car yesterday, it did come down to 0.6 or 0.7 mark.
  6. Hi Mate, It was idling at cold start at 1.5k rpm, thewn slowly went down to 1.1rpm...I went for a drive yesterday and it came down to 0.6 or 0.7 after warming up. @Normski2: Seems to be matching up with mine. Cool.
  7. Mate, I am located in Northwest London.:-) Pretty much very far away from you. But I really appreciate your offer to help.Very kind indeed. :-) But I am sure I will drop by to pay a visit if I am coming to Bournemouth. :-)
  8. HI Guys, Sorry for the delayed reply. Bogged down by work. So I had my friend who is driving a Lexus as well dropped by yesterday evening. Very nice chap who explained to the following:- The first turn of the switch brough on the Main Beam in which the bulbs are working fine (Picture 1 at the top) The second turn of the switch brought on the Low or Dipped Beam in which one bulb (driver side is working) and the passenger side is not working (Pic 2) Pulling the switch down made the high beams (that I use to flash at the drivers) come up and those bulbs are working fine too. Perhaps the terminology used is different but I am sure Lexus models work the same way right?
  9. This is how it looks like..The first turn of the switch brings on the two side lights while the second turn of the switch brings on the dimmed one on the driver side and none on the passenger side.
  10. Thank yyou very much for all of your replies, guys.Appreciate it loads. :-) In the first place, I don't even know whether my high beam or low beam is out. I know...Stupid right? So taking a look at the pics above, there are two bulbs in there. Just to confirm that the one in the centre is for Mainbeam and the one at the top corner is low beam?? If yes, my main beam is only out on the driver's side. On the passenger side, both are out. For Halogen bulbs low beam replacement, any suggestions would be welcome.
  11. Madasahatter, the thing is I have got to get my mechanic to do it and he is advising me not to use conversion kits as they could be not road legal. As you can see from the above, the centre one is only out on the right hand side. Also,my two bulbs on the left hand side are both out unfortunately, Are the two bulbs on each side independent from each other? Are they the High Beam or Low Beam bulbs?

  13. Cheers, guys. Makes absolute sense. It is a 11 year old car and I am only intent on doing the utmost necessary repairs.
  14. Hi Guys, There is a horrible straight line of pencil scratches underneath the front bumper. They are only visible if I get down on my knees and look underneath the car. Also, got a huge scrape made by the previous owner underneath the bumper as well.Partially viisble only when looking at the front of the car.. Was given a quote of £150 by my mechanic to do up the whole bumper. Ideal to do this or just ignore since they are not visible to the eye?
  15. AhmedAli, why don't you use Goodyear Efficient Grip for your rear as well? Isn't that available for the rear? Also, read in another post that Camskill does some good prices but you need to get a local fitting centre to fit it in... http://www.camskill.co.uk/m54b0s313p105236/Goodyear_Tyres_Car_Goodyear_Eagle_F1_Asymmetric_2_-_245_45_R17_95Y_FP_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_70dB Kwik fit is also good as they use the Hunter Wheel Alignment. But there seems to be both good and bad reviews about them.
