    Happy Birthday pob!

  2. Yes, the Computer Unit for the Sat Nav is located next to the spare wheel. It is covered with a metal plate, that is removed with two screws. Then there is a small sliding piece of plastic covering the eject button. You will need the keys in the ignition to eject the disc.

  4. I'm hoping to make the trip to Hemel from Sheffield over the summer holiday to check the geometry on my new IS300. Having previously owned two IS200s, both with inner tyre wear, I'm not taking any chances this time! Cheers Phil
  5. I've had my IS300 for a week now. Did a run from Sheffield to Blackpool (via Liverpool) over the weekend. Mostly motorway, but a fair few 30-40mph A-roads also. From fill-up to fill-up I've calculated my MPG to be 27.2 - not bad for a 3 litre beast. Cheers Phil
  6. I find that a lot of dealers create the paperwork this way. Do you have a printout from the dealers website showing the original price of the car?
  7. If the vehicle was involved in an accident, it shouldn't have been sold as an approved Lexus anyway: Taken from lexus.co.uk **** Non-Qualifying Vehicles A vehicle will not qualify as a Approved Pre-Owned Lexus if any of the following occur: If the vehicle has been involved in a major accident If the vehicle's structural integrity is impaired If the body shell has been replaced **** Also, isn't the forecourt value of the car, the price you paid for it? Cheers Phil
  8. Car is still fab. I've done 500 miles since picking the car up last Tuesday and I now class it as the best car I've ever owned. Powerful when needed, refined and smooth when cruising on the motorway. The colour is great too - really glad I chose it. w77: The Sport pedals are standard on the IS300, so I don't know how much they cost. aztecbandit1: I was going to look at that IS300 at Milton Keynes myself, as it was a good price for it's age and has nicer alloys that the ones I've got (IMO). But, I really wanted Sat Nav so didn't bother with the car in the end. Cheers Phil
  9. Much fun with those buttons - very handy on the motorway when getting ready to pull out to overtake.
  10. Have put some pictures of my new toy HERE. Cheers Phil
  11. I'm wanting to fit a Nokia Car Kit to my IS300. I need to run the microphone cable from near the rearview mirror to the control box behind the glovebox. In my non-IS cars I've simply popped off the plastic from the A-pillar and put the cable in there, but the IS has curtain airbags. Does the cover come off at all or is there any way to access this? I don't want to break or set off the airbag doing the install. I'm sure the cable can be put here as I've seen loads of IS200's with Nokia Car Kits installed and I'm certain the cable has run along this route. Any help appreciated. Cheers Phil
  12. Picked up my IS300 from Cardiff today. Fantastic drive home (200 miles back to Sheffield) - really pleased with it so far. Very fast and quiet. Will put some pictures up soon. Only problem now is trying to get parking sensors fitted. Cardiff never returned my phone calls when I asked about getting them fitted before picking the car up, and Sheffield want £350+VAT for them. I only paid £299 inc VAT for them last time :-( Cheers Phil
  13. My first IS200 had the Oakham (cream) interior and I loved it. My current IS200 has the Exmoor (black) interior. I prefer the cream and do miss the classy look, but the black is still very nice. Here is a photo of my old interior:
  14. The limited editions (in the special colour Kodiak Sky) do not have Sat Nav. They do however have full leather and I think the manual had an armrest (which manual IS200s don't normally have).
  15. £8995 for a 2001 'S'? That seems quite a lot. I've just traded in my 2003 IS200 Sport with SatNav (with only 21k miles) and only got £9000 px allowance.
