  1. I recently replaced my front wiper blades, did the usual and looked on eBay etc. etc. I could find good quality blades for about £25 (Bosch etc.) but I wanted spoilers on them like the OEM blades. So went to the Lexus dealership and was pleasantly surprised - A pair of OEM blades fitted for £19 inc vat So moral of the story, check with the Lexus dealership before buying non OEM spares!
  2. With all my daily driver cars I have worked out the mpg! My Summer toy is a BMW Z4 3.0i and I'm not bothered what mpg I get out of it but I still check it after every fill up, it can also sometimes warn you of an issue with the car.
  3. I run mine till the light comes on and then brim the tank (about 55 litres) - it's the best way to get the most accurate mpg figures. I have done this will all my cars since the mid 1980's and never had a problem.
  4. The clicking is from the connector behind the door panel not from the mirror.
  5. The mirror is a replacement unit from a breakers yard, I can hear clicking from where the mirror wiring connects to the terminal block behind the door panel but no movement at the mirror at all, can anyone verify if a new or replacement mirror does have to be coded to the car and if so can it be done using techstream?
  6. It looks as though the drivers door mirror motors have packed up, the mirror will not adjust up or down or left and right - is this an easy fix or is it a new mirror altogether? The passenger side works fine.
  7. My Z4 is the 3.0i Automatic with sports mode, needless to say it's quite a handful in sports mode lol Good news regarding the RX400h, not too expensive to put right, mine RX400h is due it's major service and MOT in November, hopefully the bill will not be too excessive (I will be going to a friends garage who maintains all my car's and knows what he is doing).
  8. My two, Lexus RX400h for Winter and BMW Z4 for Summer - Perfect!
  9. It's in the boot, under the lift up door in the floor on the right hand side, theirs plenty of info on here on how to change the dvd.
  10. Compared to my TomTom the Lexus Sat Nav is rubbish however it's always got me to my destination without any issues, I have apps on my phone I can use if I get into difficulties in totally unknown area's.
  11. The mapping DVD is available on eBay at a huge saving from dealer price's, mine was genuine Lexus and I paid a fraction of the price.
  12. I used "Car Door Mirrors" and the fit was perfect, well recommended!
  13. My 2nd screen doesn't have a post code icon so I guess it's not available.
  14. It's a 2007 model with the latest mapping dvd.
  15. How do you input a postcode instead of having to put the road and town as the destination. Been through all the settings but can't find it, am I missing something?
  16. I only use BP Ultimate in both of my cars, I never use supermarket fuel.
  17. Bought a replacement mirror from breakers yard, fitted it without issues but I cannot adjust the mirror position and the mirror will not fold in, I can hear the control box where the lead plugs into clicking but no movement of the mirror is evident - anyone got any ideas?
  18. I ordered and fitted this mirror from eBay, item 122552762391 and I can confirm it fits perfectly and the heated mirror connectors were the right size, so basically plug and play! I can recommend this mirror replacement 100% It seems the cheaper ones are not very good but spend a little more and its well worth it!
  19. Sounds like the way forward, is it easy to fit the replacement in place?
  20. Previous owner removed the original glass and stuck a cheap unheated replacement to the motor, I want to replace it with a heated one that attaches to the motor properly.
  21. I need to change the wing mirror glass on the passenger side, I don't want to damage the motor behind whilst removing the glass, which is the best way to remove the glass/mirror?
  22. I've decided to invest in Techstream as it will do everything that is needed, initially more money but pretty much bullet proof when you are using it.
  23. Is their a guide to changing wing mirrors on the RX400h, mainly the removal of the interior door trim/panel? I don't want to force and break anything whilst I'm doing the job.
  24. Now I know how it works I'm quite happy to leave it like it is, I have techstream now so will have a look at the customisations and see what can be changed to my liking.
