  1. Hoho, it helps if you are hunting down the correct part# 🤪 Found a supplier to confirm the correct part (Lexus Parts Direct) and will be delivered direct to the workshop in approx 3 days. If anyone else needs one for a mk3 GS, then LPD have added the matrix to their website.
  2. Thanks, that's nearby so I'll drop them a enquiry. My vehicle is actually in Sheffield and during earlier search I clocked a few radiator repair shops nearby.
  3. Might anyone be able to source a new heater matrix for a rhd GS450h '57 reg? Apparently they are on back order until the end of September! Part number I've been told is; 885013A120 I'm hoping one/more of you that have a knack finding parts/suppliers can bail me (and my poor mechanic) out of a jam 🤞 Thanks in advance, Lee
  4. Crumbs @malcolm Killian, 4.6k euro's seems quite high. I hope you find an alternative solution! Cheers, Lee
  5. No Techstream here, i just eye balled it and maybe got lucky. Well done tho, it sounds like you are making progress.
  6. Honestly Ruben, I can't recall what cooling options were selected within the pictures. With the panel off I suggest that you can cycle the vehicle on/off a couple of times and also run each control through it's range of motion. After a few minutes, you should then have a good idea of what arm controls what and which servo serves each action. Aligning everything back up is tricky, so good luck.
  7. Hi Malcolm, I'm sorry to hear that you have issues with your traction battery. Replacing bad cells, 3 times in 12 months is unusual and shows that companies which take the time to balance the pack are worth the xtra £'s. I believe you can purchase new replacement cells but for the cost, I would hand it over to a specialist and take a warranty on their 'new' pack. Will be interesting to hear other opinions and experiences here. Have you approached any specialists locally? Good luck, Lee
  8. Hi Jim / @39buss, several folks have checked their VVT filters and they have all been clear so it doesn't appear to be a common area for concern. But as the job costs nothing but effort it's worth doing as it allows some insight into how the internals are holding up. For more info on these filters, check the thread linked below and let us know how you get on;
  9. Welcome to the forum Davis, is this your first Lexus and what standout features do you appreciate in your ES350 ?
  10. Yeah same here, sure it looks smart but that's a high value. initially i figured it must be super low mileage but nope, it isn't. Then maybe the cherished number plate but i read that it has been taken off.
  11. Hehe, no problem...is an easy mistake to make. I'm not 100% certain that a 3rd party battery conditioner is necessary, isn't that what the vehicle does but in a controlled range that gives the battery pack as a whole, a longer life? The vehicle hybrid system never fully depletes or fully charges the pack. Batteries can typically handle x charge cycles and performing more cycles at a wider range seems counter productive to me but I'm no expert. When the hybrid battery packs fail it's due to one or more pack breaking down and they need replacing. Whilst the whole pack is apart, all the packs are then charged and checked/matched individually to give a solid overall pack when fully assembled. Maybe John or Richard will be along soon to dispell my sketchy man logic...
  12. I had to chuckle at this as we felt the same after our long haul up there. Was well worth the trip though.
  13. Hi Fenn, is there any reason why you want feedback from a company in a different country when there are alternatives closer to home? Richard / @hybridbatterysolutions is a fellow LOC member and has plenty of positive feedback; http://www.hybridbatterysolutions.co.uk/
  14. This is absolutely gorgeous 😍
  15. Well done Adam, I agree that the GS is perfect for long hauls. We often pop over to Belgium and it's a breeze in ours.
  16. Hey hey, that's my kinda fix! Fingers crossed that it stays working 🤞
  17. Hey Neil, RockAuto have just 1 rear damper option and only 1 is available which isn't great as you'll ideally be replacing both/in pairs 😞 Good luck shopping around. Cheers, Lee
  18. Thanks, I've never heard of Start Rescue so this thread could potentially be an eye opener to a few folks. We used to use one of the big 2 recovery companies for years but their prices gradually increased year on year, despite no calls. Come renewal time, I would call and enquire why the price increase was so high? and they would instantly discount it until a few years ago, so we moved on. We've since been with Flux Rescue who also offer EU recovery without a significant price increase. I've used them once (in the UK) and have no issues with their service and enjoy the significant annual saving.
  19. Is it just me, or you also find MOT history's a great read ? Your leggy Swede seem to like tyres and ball joints/bushes - not surprising given she's a big gal 🤪
  20. Well done Richard, that's a smart looking motor 👍 and VERY practical. I've been tempted by a long legged Swede a few times before (ahem) and it looks like you've grabbed yourself yet another bargain

    RX450h

Hi Neville, the detachable RX tow balls seem to pop on eBay fairly regularly. Is this any good ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-Rx450h-detachable-Towbar-Genuine/114286567115 Welcome to Lexus ownership, how are you finding the RX ?
  22. Hehe, each to his own eh...I love a challenge (or maybe I'm stubborn!)
