  1. Take a look at this. I think it may be accessable without the gymnastics! Bri rx450 pushed in dashboard bank of switches - RX 300 / RX 350 / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h Club - Lexus Owners Club
  2. Hi. Whilst I can't answer youre question directly I did have the same problem with my RX. I did a search on Google or Youtube and found a video showing exactly where it was ( I would never have found it otherwise). So the addage that 'Mr Google knows everything' was at least true in this case! Hope this helps Bri
  3. About 18 months ago I noticed that the rubber surround of the opening part of my pan roof had started to detach at the corners. My dealer said that as it is considered to be trim it was not covered by the ( extended ) warranty and it will need the opening part of the sunroof replacing at £750. As I use the sunroof quite a bit I did not see any other option but to have it replaced. But £5000 seems a bit steep which ever way you look at it! Bri
  4. I believe people have had some success here. I have never used them myself though. Bri https://www.tonybanks.co.uk/exhausts/
  5. From experience ( not with a Lexus) I would check exhaust manifold bolts and gasket ( I had one of the manifold bolts shear on another vehicle causing a leak ) followed by any other joints on the exhaust system. It sounds like a leak that is taken up as the exhaust system warmes up.. Bri
  6. Hi Mike, This website should tell you whether and what will transfer. Bri http://www.lexus-tech.eu/Bluetooth/search.aspx
  7. Hi Lucian, When my RX was making the noise it sounded like someone was attacking the top of the engine with a hammer ( not a big one but a hammer never the less!). It also came and went at random. Sometimes it was absent for a week or more and then I would get it for two days one after the other. If you have looked at the the thread mentioned above by Piers mine was sorted by changing the No1 port injector. Bri
  8. Well I have now had the car back for a number of days and ( touch wood) it is sorted. The engine seems to run a lot smoother on tickover than it has done for months. So I would say that the problem was without a doubt the No1 port fuel injector. Bri
  9. Hi Rob, No it is not in at Lexus Gatwick. It has gone in to somewhere a lot closer to where I live! It is in at Lexus Hull, and after having it in for one day they rang me today and said they have identified that the No1 port injector is 'misfiring' and causing the engine to run both noisy and rough and have ordered me a new one under warranty which will be fitted tomorrow. Apparently this injector is used to start the engine, then after 15 seconds or so the engine switches over the the normal injectors. This would account why the engine runs smoothly after several seconds. They have also agreed to replace the front discs as one of them was warped an causing a quite severe vibration under braking and to refurb the wheels as they were starting so show signs of corrosion again. So all in all a very satisfied customer! Bri
  10. Pleased to hear you have you're problems resolved. My RX is in to the dealer on Monday for a very similar problem. I must say I am so far impressed that as soon as I described the problem to one of the technicians he mentioned straight away the cylinder 1 port fuel injector. So here's hoping I do not have to go through the same procedure as you have had to go through. Bri
  11. Hello Sarah, Have a look at this site, it will tell you if what you want to do is possible or not with you're version of phone. Another problem may be what version of bluetooth you're Rx and phone are using as they may not be compatable. Hope this helps Bri https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Bluetooth/search.aspx
  12. Strangely mine started to do something similar about a year ago. Mentioned it when it went in for service but as it didn't do it when it was in they could not find anything. It is not misfiring exactly just sounds and feels like it's not firing cleanly for several seconds, with a bit of vibration then it clears and runs normally. I haven't had any warning lights so I am not unduly worried just wondering what is causing it. Bri
  13. Interesting..... I've never heard of this functionality on an rx400h. As far as I know, the only way to make the mirrors fold is to press the button on the dash before turning the ignition off. Thats what I had to do on my RX400h as well. Bri
  14. Hi Chris, Like Les I have in the past knocked mine back into the dash. All I can say is that my dealer took around 5minutes to replace it. When I asked how they said they just took the end off the dash and clicked it back in so I guess that it will be easy to access the rear of the switch and swap over the wires. But I have no idea to remove the end of the dash! Bri
  15. My RX does show full but only occasionally, and then it's only after a long downhill stretch of road. Bri
  16. Hi all, I don't have HUD on my RX but the dash speed limit indicator often says anything from 30 to 180 MPH speed limit on the road through the village where I live. I have mentioned it to my dealer who said it was a regular problem but there seems to be no fix. Dont take a lot of notice of it now. Bri
  17. Hi Saphian, Have a look at this website it will tell you what each generation of iphone will and will not do with each generation of RX. Hope it helps Bri http://www.lexus-tech.eu/Bluetooth/search.aspx
  18. Hi Stephen, try the link below it will tell you which phones work and the connectivity etc. Bri http://www.lexus-tech.eu/Bluetooth/search.aspx
  19. Hi Stephen, I tow a 1750kg van with my 2016 RX450h. I have had no problems at all. MPG wise its a bit more thirsty than the ML350 that I have had previously but there is only 2 or 3 MPG in it. The Lexus is a lot more comfortable and reliable! Off the mark it may seem a little more sluggish but with a 1.75 ton caravan behind you you do not want to be going anywhere fast anyway. Load wise with one rearseat down ( the other one is occupied by the dog! ) there is enough room to get awning, groundsheet, gas BBQ, crate of food, TV, bottles of water ,wine etc various other bits and still be able to see out of the rear window (not that you can see much just the front of the van😉 ). I have tried sport mode but found it made very little difference towing it just made the engine work harder so I don't bother. The only downside is that it does wear the front tyres faster so I don't bother putting premium boots on it just expect to replace them more frequently. Bri
  20. Hi Lukas, Please let us know how you get on as I have been told on several occasions that under no circumstances should any sort of roof bars be fitted to an RX with a pan roof. Obviously should the roof be opened it will damage the opening part of the roof. I have been told that there is a possibility that the stress of putting anything on the roof bars could shatter the pan roof. I assume this refers to the fixed bit behind the opening section. As a matter of interest what do you intend to carry on the roof? All I was going to put up there were two lightweight aluminium bikes. Bri
  21. Thanks Mark. I can't say that the reply was exactly unexpected! Bri
