  1. I had loads of grief with my battery, Car was 3 years old when purchased but had been sat for almost a year prior to that. It let me down a number of times (having been left by myself for 10 days without use) and once when pulled in with the radio on for 10 mins. The battery passed the tests done by the AA and Lexus, eventually after the third time it let me down I demanded a new battery from Lexus, they did some form of extended test and said it failed - new battery was provided free of charge.
  2. Thank you! They do a 245/40 so I’ll be going for that on the rear. it will be October before I change (current tyres have enough tread until then). Will update once it’s done though.
  3. Hi, I’d like to put all season tyres on my IS F Sport. Snow traction was very poor. I’d like to buy Continental AllSeasonContact however they only do 225/40/r18 for the front not the 255/35/r18 for the rear though. Could I fit any alternative size to the 255 ie 245/40 R18? Probably a stupid question but worth asking....
  4. Does anyone know how the TPMS works on the IS Gen 3 please? looking at a set of winter wheels however I can’t find out whether the IS tyres have a TPMS sensor in the valve which I would need to buy for the winter set?
  5. You are kidding me. I see the traction control light come on all the time, rear wheels spin in less an inch of mud. In the snow it was atrocious - got stuck in slush. Might be down to tyres but mine has the same brand as new.
  6. The traction is awful, an AWD option in the UK would of been good.
  7. That’s a great point, thank you. I actually had the noise yesterday again and pulled in and turned the car off. The noise continued... would that happen with this flap? Will speak to the dealer.
  8. Never heard electricity passing through power lines?
  9. After some ideas: I have a Gen 3 250 and I’ve noticed this noise twice now. Cold mornings on both occasions, it sounds like the noise is coming from inside the engine bay - it’s more of an electrical noise, like a electric passing through a switch that’s stuck (if that makes sense). Lasts for 3-4 minutes. Turning the radio and blower off has no effect. Car seems to warm up and the noise is gone. Doesn’t sound healthy! Any ideas folks?
  10. It’s an SD card, I have a Gen 3 IS. It sounds like an electrical whirling noise, I don’t have a CD in the drive.
  11. After some ideas: I have a 250 and I’ve noticed this noise twice now. Cold mornings on both occasions, it sounds like the noise is coming from behind the stereo - it’s more of an electrical noise, like a electric passing through a switch that’s stuck (if that makes sense). Lasts for 3-4 minutes. Turning the radio and blower off has no effect. Car seems to warm up and the noise is gone. Doesn’t sound healthy! Any ideas folks?
  12. I took mine to the local council MOT depot. £45 and flew through. They have no motive to fail your car.
  13. Seems like the wrong car for frequent 2 mile commutes?
  14. Spark plugs should have been changed at 60k - check this was done.
