  1. Got the OBD2 and the phone paired and the Carista app is not recognising the device. Extremely frustrating. Any tips? Like which order to insert the reader or anything?
  2. I'm looking forward to seeing the changes that can be achieved. Wanting to change: reverse beeping, unlock doors when driver opens door, 'follow me home' lights for 30 seconds. Would also be great if I could add a noise when the car locks but I'm not expecting that this can be done. Have always wondered why we don't have this in the UK like they do in the states. It's very useful.
  3. Yes I think you're right (in fact I know you're right after my research). I've managed to source a Samsung Galaxy S4 with a cracked screen that should work while I wait for my wifi OBD2 reader!
  4. I purchased a OBD2 reader off Amazon. But I purchased a Bluetooth one and I am running iOS. Does anybody know if the Bluetooth version works with an iPhone?
  5. I'm currently looking at the Viofo's A119S dash cam. That's as high as my budget goes. What would you recommend then Farqui? Piggy back onto the fuse board as you've done? Also, where did you run the ground to? Cheers
  6. Thanks everyone for the detailed replies. I'm mechanically minded but really am not electronically minded. Is tapping into the dome light easily done and is there a guide? It seems this would be absolutely ideal and saves messing around with wires but I don't want to mess anything up.
  7. Hi guys,I'm looking into getting a dash cam and I have a few questions.1) Are there any dash cams people recommend? I don't care about screens - all i need to know is that it's turned on but I understand most models come with screens now.2) I have searched for battery powered dash cams, my ideal was to have one I could charge every night but it seems they don't exist. So i have accepted that I'll need to hardwire. Where is the fusebox in the CT? Is to the fusebox the easiest method to hardwire? Any tips?3) Does anybody have any experience in hardwiring anything and how to make wires as hidden as possible (from the mirror)?4) Are there any issues I should be concerned with hardwiring in terms of draining batteries etc? Thanks everyone. Many thanks, Ben
  8. Hi everyone. I've searched but can't seem to find any information regarding HID kits on their cars so thought I'd ask. Has anybody done a HID upgrade on their car? If so, which kit did you buy? With my CT200h I'm looking for a kit that will work with the auto-light feature (H11 bulb). I had a cheep ebay kit on my Honda Accord and it worked faultlessly. Hoping somebody can point me in the right direction of a reasonably priced kit that is tried and tested. (please no "HID kits are illegal" etc). Many thanks, Ben
  9. In my Accord it flashes to let you know then turns off. Search an eye sore. I'm fairly certain I read that you can turn it off but the light then switches to off but remains on so it achieves nothing Still, very excited to pick it up Monday!
  10. Hi StormChaser, I'm led to believe it has puddle lights but to be honest I don't believe it has the auto folding mirrors. I think only the F-sport and the Premier have those (as far as I know). I agree with what you're saying about modding but I just want to make some subtle changes with regards to the lights. Mods I do with every car. But, your number plate lights look pretty smart for OEM so I'll have to wait until I get the car to decide. Are your lights halogen or xenon? I notice people on the CT200h forum have gone for LED bulbs. This could be a nice alternative than a HID kit. I don't believe it has a ML sound system. One pet peeve already is the damn airbag light. Spoils the whole central column having a bright orange light on it. I'm guessing there's no way to turn this off?
  11. Hi everyone. New owner here :) I have bought a 2012 CT200h SE-L and picking it up on Monday. I traded in my much loved diesel Honda Accord as the government are really sinking their teeth into trying to ban diesels. Plus, I now only work 9 minutes from my house so it's uneconomical. I loved the car on my test drive. It has leather heated seats, fold away sat-nav, rear view camera and a few other things that were present in my Accord which I'm happy with. Now, I've always been a modder. So I'd like to order the parts ready for when I pick the car up. What are common modifications? - number plate lights? (any recommondations that aren't ridiculously white and more OEM?) - HIDs? (if so, which brand works with the auto function that's relatively cheap?) - puddle lights? (again, more OEM looking) Any other worthwhile modifications? I don't like modding map lights or anything as I think they'll hurt my eyes. Also, does the car have footwell lights? I drove it in the day. Cheers, Ben!
