Hi, i wanted to ask if the sound, when you release the clutch going in first or rear gear is normal? i can even feel that click. I think it is normal for rear wheel cars, but i want to be sure if it is not some sort of problem. Thanks

Well everybody are telling how somebody hit their car, so... yesterday i was hit too... by the bibycle i was going home from job and when i went out from my work territory i saw that kid on the bibycle will not be able to stop, because he was going too fast and was not looking at the road. So i realised that he is going to hit my car's back left wing and floored the accelerator! My car jumped forward very fast (strange :D ), but... he managed to damage bumper's kit ("skirt" or how it is called) bottom with his tyre Kid was so scared that my anger disappeared. i hope that polish will do the job. So be careful for flying carpets and "fast and scared" kids on bicycles :D

Hello, summer season is coming, so i need a new set of tyres. I thought about DUNLOP SP9000 215/45/R17 Z. But my known sailsman told that there is better ones from DUNLOP. As i understood he was talking about DUNLOP 215/45 R17 Y SP SPORT MAXX. Did anyone tried them? Is it better on wet? Is Y worse than Z or W? Any information would be appreciated. Best Regards

Nono, You didn't understand, i am enjoying my 1 and 2nd gear with it's "feature", but now my 3 and 4 gear is stiffer so maybe i need to change it? My warenty is out and my car is 76K KM om the clock. Thanks

Hello, i have simple question, but i didn't find the answern in the forum search, so... How often IS 200 gearbox oil should be changed? Because it looks that my gearbox is harder to control, not only in the 2nd gear. Lowering from 5th to 4th, and from 4th to 3rd is harder too. Thanks

Anees, i don't remember :) but it looks that a deserved that.. Phonedrome, i was so happy that loose sparks didn't blow their system out! that would be a major problem and very expensive one! My car drives smoother now. Interesting, what next?:)

Guess what comments, "everything is fine now", come back when it fails. But i think i have good news about mine acceleration. As i mentioned, something there was something wrong with acceleration wire and the mechanism that controls it. So my freelance mechanic put a lot of WD-40 on that mechanism, moved it a lot, and even the pedal feels smooth, not talking about ride. It seems that acceleration wire sliped and thats why there was loose of power and twitching! It looks good now, but who knows... Cheers

today was a bad day, first of all they checked the sparks, and what do you think...2 of them were loose, they just took them out without any key! Clenaed them, put them back, trashed a bit. It was better, but not as it should be. Then, acceleration pedal didn't react when i pushed it, came on the Engine light. Deagnostics showed error, but acceleration was back again. Nothing found except error. Besides pre-cats were in good condition! I think i am selling my beloved lexus! I am tired to look for faults and spending money nowhere...

Today at 12 o'clock i am checking my pre-cats and the main cat, hope it is the problem. AdamT Lexus cat is really too expensive, aftermarked costs 2 or 3 times cheaper in my country, but i think if it is pre-cat damaged i will cut them out, it will increase power a bit, but if it is the main cat fault-have to buy one

They are afraid of lexus or what? New specialist :) actually refused to check the pre-cats, because they also said that pre-cat parts should be heared in the main cat section when he hit it, and again, there was no sound! And if i want to check the main cat, they have to cut it and look through it. Do they really have to cut it? I am almost giving up, it seems that people don't need money anymore that i "want" to spend. It is good that garages live ritch these days!?

Don't be mad at me, i asked to do that in exhaust service, but they refused, because they could hear those parts when moving the main cat. I know, sounds stupid, but don't want to do something in that kind of service:/ Thanks for Your time

Noticed strange thing: my exhaust tip is smoked like diesel, i clean it, and after some ride it is black again. The funny thing is, that the back bumper is also smoked because of the exhaust like diesel! What the does that mean? Never happened before. Also, today i was filling my fuel tank, filled it up and the car even lifted up slower than before i came to fuel station, i am not talking about +60litres, the engine was working different, something like lack of fuel:/ What is it?

Hmz, strange... but as i remember i could feel kick after i changed my exhaust back.. I couldn't feel it before change i know for sure! Oh, and before changing exhaust back i was driving whole day without it, it was very noisy, but felt better when shifting and lifting off, however not always felt 4000-4500 kick

I asked exhaust system specialist to look at the pe-cats, but they said it is hard with lexus, i don't know if it is. they also said if pre-cats are damaged there should be some pre-cat parts in front of main cat and they should make some sound. Is it true? There was no sound.

The car is 2002 manual, 47 k miles on the clock, a week ago i changed the engine oil, filter, air filter is clean. Few sparks were checked, they said they're fine. I tried to drive a month with Nitro 3000, it is something like Optimax in UK, and there was no big difference. Anything more details needed?

Good day, now for a long time i have problem with power loss, some of You may even be pis :tsktsk: d because my questions. But still, i hope there will be some advices. Some people said that i may have problem with pre-cat, because car is slow. There are no lights on the dash blinking, diagnosis shows nothing bad. But the power loss is huge after some driving, and even more after hard driving, trashing. First of all i changed the whole back of exhaust from the main cat to the exhaust tip(i don't know how it is in english), because it was choked. It feels a little better when shifting, the lag is smaller, but still... And now I even not always can feel the VVT'i kick effect, more and more often. So is it something wrong with valve? Or it may be the pre-cat problem for sure? Sorry for a long storry, but i am letting down my hands and am thinking of selling it, but i don't want to do that ! Thanks ir advance
