  1. Gentlemen, I am forever in your debt over your sage advice. Thank you all SO MUCH! Best wishes, Edward in Somerset.
  2. Apologies to trouble you once again, but I've looked into sourcing the gas struts and hitting a small snag. Can anybody let me have either the Lexus Part Numbers or (preferably) the gas strut number for the boot operation on my 2007 IS250? I tried all the usual online outlets (Amazon/e-Bay/Google) but oddly enough, no luck to date. I also made contact with SGS in Derby, who are one of the major UK gas strut suppiers, but they advise me they don't stock that type. Thank you, in advance, for any assistance you can render.
  3. Thanks for all the responses, Gentlemen - I'll definitely look into puchasing & fitting new gas struts.
  4. Thanks so much, Slucky, for putting my mind at rest on the subject. I really thought I was 'missing a trick' somewhere!
  5. I have a lovely low-mileage 2007 IS250 and have owned it for three years. However, what has always puzzled me is the operation of the boot lid. It seems quite heavy to open by hand, and appears to have some sort of hydraulic 'feel' to it as I open it. Is the boot operation automatic, and I don't know about it? Thanks for your advice!
  6. Ladies & Gentlemen, I require your input, please. I have a 2007 IS250 SE-L, which as you are aware, comes fully loaded with all the toys, and enjoys the highest specification. I would like to upgrade it to a newer model, but don't want the Hybrid at this stage. First question - was 2015 the last year you could purchase a new petrol-only IS250 without venturing into Hybrids? Second question - what is the highest and most luxurious spec in this model range - Luxury, or Premier? Many thanks for your advice!
