  1. Had the same problem with the spare key that came with my RX300. Bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS200-GS300-LS400-RX300-3-Button-Remote-Key-Shell-Case-Short-Blade/401138099983?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648. had the blade cut at a local shop, fitted a new battery to the old fob and swapped it over, worked perfectly, £15 total, and i have a spare battery The guy in the shop did say to be careful of the cheap ones from China, as the blades tend to be too thin or even hollow, making it impossible to cut, ;-)
  2. Thank you Gents. normal service has been resumed
  3. Disaster. It's all gone wrong! Well not quite, but i finally found a "fault" all the windows work on each door individual window button but if using the drivers door controls only the drivers window goes up/down until i pressed the two rear buttons simultaneously and now the drivers panel operates both rear windows as i would expect but it still wont power the passenger front window from the drivers door panel. it could be me just been a bit thick and missing the obvious but unless someone can point out what i'm not doing right i'm afraid it's going up for sale ! Not really I still love it ;-)
  4. |I would be more than happy to, but as of yet i still cant find fault with it, even the wife's impressed

  6. Sorry! I never noticed the newby bit. I was playing in the RX300 bit looking for all the horror stories before i bought one but got through the first 20 pages without finding anything so If anyone can point me in the right direction? Pick it up today and love it
  7. Thanks for the welcome If i'm honest i had the same reservations, being an electrician for 35yrs, Iv'e become a bit of a luddite as far as vehicles and electrics are concerned and the last time i owned a petrol car the latest technological advancement in that department was sparkrite bringing out the contactless electronic ignition box ! odd considering i work on big gas engine management systems on generators all day.
  8. Apologies for the appalling pic, But after a busy day rebuilding the 110 Defender, we finally got to it up late this afternoon, two new front tires and a full MOT and straight to the garage to fill it up, very impressive machine and two very happy new owners and nowhere near as drastic on petrol as i expected, but i did drive it like a girl ;-) Took great delight in emptying everything out of the Range Rover, most of which where tools in case of emergency repairs which are now back in the garage such is my confidence in the reliability I have read so much about on the forum. I think I'm going to enjoy this beast, VERY MUCH !
  9. Looking at the pic again sorcerer you could well be right and it's just a letter "R" a previous owners stuck under the RX 300 lol Still doesn't detract from it being an impressive bit of kit
  10. Ok it looks like my first long run out will be from the garage to home where i will enjoying the ice cool air con and pressing all the buttons !
  11. Good to hear, Like i said Norfolk looks like it'll be the first long run out when i get it !
  12. It didn't want to play Rayaans, I'll sort it when i get a min ;-) Hows Yorkshire keeping?. that could well be the first long run out in the thing when i get it
  13. No idea sorcerer, i just tried uploading a pic to prove it's there under the RX 300,in "red" which makes it look very sporty and fast and probably expensive to fix ;-) but i need to read up on posting pics on here
  14. You'll do for me lurch ;-) Now watch someone come along and shatter my dreams lol
