  1. Thanks. The latter part of your answer was what I was referring to. For example was quoted £250 for single TPMS sensor replacement as part of a service / MOT but got that done elsewhere for £90. I understand that this may not then be covered under warranty but not sure consumable parts such as tyres, brakes etc would be covered anyway..
  2. Does taking out the 10 year warranty plus obligate you to have any recommended works done by Lexus post mandatory service please?
  3. Thanks Colin and Mark. Will give that a try in the morning. Even the manual key is not opening the driver door so I cannot get to the bonnet/hood - is it meant to be like that? Could be frozen lock etc Have managed to open the boot with the manual key though (first time I have done that, was not aware the key slot was there until Mark mentioned it!) Glad to hear it will make no difference which terminals I connect donor car to (under bonnet or back in the boot). Thanks again!
  4. Hi Thanks for posting that video very useful. Would like some clarification if anyone can help advise please. i have a flat battery, no electrics etc. I am thinking about getting a NOCO GENIUS5UK Smart Battery Charger. Cannot leave it charging overnight as car on road outside home. Will this devise be OK to in effect charge for a short while to get car started so I can keep running for 60 mins etc? Also, does this(NOCO charger terminals) connect to battery in boot on IS300H and not under the hood? Would jump starting my car using another car need connecting under the hood (that's what it says in my manual). Just a bit confused about the terminals between hood and boot where I see the 12V battery. Many thanks in advance!
  5. Sorry to hear of your woes. Would that be true for all IS models or just he sport version? I have a 2014 non sport model and I was once told 'your front part' is a bit low and now very careful not to drive on to certain kerbs (rather reverse onto it or avoid totally)
  6. Pricing is appropriate if "essentials" Service plan rather than normal full service for cars greater than 5 yrs old: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/lexus-essential-care/#hero
  7. Bargain. I paid £1042 for same starting May 2019. Sent from my Redmi Note 8 Pro using Tapatalk
  8. Where do we use the spray please? Inside car width of screen where the door trim meets glass or just corner only? TIA Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks to All from the prompt replies. I have topped it up by 500ml and will re-check later. Not sure how the reminder works as last service was on 28/03/2018 and only done 6.5k miles since then. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. Some advise regarding engine oil please. Prior to purchase of my 2014 IS 300h it has always been serviced by Lexus main dealer. Just today I have a message popped up on the sat nav / media centre disply screen showing engine oil symbol and to contact original main dealer for maintenance (miles away from me). I have checked oil level and it appears to be low. I need to top up at the very least. The dilema I have is that I do not know what type (make & viscosity of engine oil currently in the vehicle). The 40k service service is 2k away (in line with MOT due end of Mar-19) so I expect engine oil etc will be changed then. I have read on the 'net that main dealers use oil grade of 0W-20. I do not have that at home but I do have Castrol Magnatec 5w-30 (A5) previously bought for a Ford Focus. Can I use that and will this be a problem to mix and match oil grade here? The manual gives multiple oil grades and not knowing what is in there currently is what is causing me confusion. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
