  1. Definitely not diamond cut, that is not a paint finish but a mechanical finish. Effectively a machined surface. You could buy my genuine ISF wheels and sell your IS F-Soort wheels 😎😎 problem solved!!
  2. Seen a few variations. I thought the same as you though Colin but have seen facelift cars without the steering wheel mounted sport button.
  3. They do but on earlier facelift ones its still behind the steering wheel on the left, only later ones had it on the steering wheel. Good luck with the search! Dan.
  4. Wheels now up on eBay if anyone is interested, they are the better ones of the two sets on there (a beat-up set is on for £750). Anyone interested please PM me on here rather than through eBay so I can avoid sellers fees. i am open to sensible offers. The eBay price is where it needs to be to cater for fees and put off any time wasters etc.
  5. Happy New Year all. Just about to post these in the for sale section but thought I’d let the fellow F-ers know first. My OEM alloys in dark graphite metallic are up for sale, one tiny scratch on one, the others are all perfect. No curbing, cracks or repairs, just nice genuine original wheels. Check the large cover pic in my profile ( click into it for the full view) for what the wheels look like on the car. PM me if you are interested or know anyone who is. Would be nice to keep them in the community.
  6. Check the recent post by markovanb about selling his car, you may be in luck.
  7. Thanks Colin. I almost said “you need to ask someone like Colin Barber, he’ll know more” in my post. Knew you’d have all the info 😁 There you go Ben, the Oraclle has spoken!! 😎😎
  8. Indeed it does! Midnight baby feeding session when I first saw this so excuse the incorrect info. There are some much closer pics which brought rise to my earlier comments though. Like I say, I am sure some will love these but they are not for me.
  9. Gutted, must have been a good one! Keep looking though, I saw 5 before I bought mine, the good ones are out there....... and they are all silver, just in case you were wondering 😁😁
  10. No problem chief. Let me know how you get on today. A few of us ŵill be at the Oxford services mini meet next weekend if you are free. There is a thread on here about it 😀
  11. Love the colour combo! Remember that condition is everything. If it looks tired and worn in places then it’s likely the whole car will be. make sure the water pump has been done at that mileage as the gaskets go like clockwork at around 60,000. my understanding is that the blue steering wheel insert means it’s a G2 and has the proper LSD and the better/less firm suspension set up. I paid that money for a 2009 with 45,000 on it a year and a half ago but mine was from and Indy. That’s top whack but if it’s a main dealer just make sure it comes with a warranty and that’s not a bad price for that car. It looks in good condition. check inner tyre wear on the fronts, although RR racing USRS solves this going forward they are pricey boots to replace either way. not much else to say. If it drives well it should continue to do so. good luck and keep us posted. im in Hitchin so we may not be miles away from oanother if you push the button! 😎
  12. I concur with Rich. 2009 and couldn’t be happier 😀😀
  13. Hi all, Anybody who is interested in the VLand front light units should head to Instagram and search under #VLand as there are quite a few videos of the new lights fitted to what looks like an IS250 being posted by VLand themselves and various sellers including my China contact. Looking at the video it's cemented my views, they are not for me. The DRL's look very bright which is good but the indicators are barely visible over them. The combination of the large clear lens with a mainly black plastic interior other than some very cheap looking chrome trim around the LED side, dipped and main beam housings just looks very cheap. Really disappointing considering how good most of VLands other stuff look. I'm sure some will love them but they are not my cup of tea at all. I have a load of bulb upgrades for my OEM lights now so will be sticking with those. Can't find a way of sharing an Instagram link so just use the search function on there and you'll easily find them.
  14. Thanks mate! I'll just do the bumper off like you say, gotta be the easier and simpler option.
  15. Definitely! I understand it’s a wheel well or bumper off job so will do my best to get before and after on as many bulbs as I can. Got sides, indicators (both led canbus free) and halogen fog breakers in yellow plus the film! Boxing Day project I reckon.
  16. Slightly better graphics than SEGA Rally on the PS2. Took me a while to figure out that it wasn’t real footage!
  17. Already bought the film!!! Going for hyper yellow👌👌
  18. I was really tempted to go down the LEDs all over route but Toothy has me convinced with his JDM style yellow Foggies!!
  19. Couldn’t agree more David!! SwissVax best of show was recommended to me but it drowns light coloured cars and gives a muddy look to any pearl in the paint. ZLooks amazing in darker colours though. After trying many waxes I find that Dodo Juice Light Fantastic gives the best shine on my car but it is just not durable enough for me. Meguiars ultimate compound and ultimate polish are my preferred prep with a DA polisher but their waxes again don’t seem durable enough. My current favourite wax is a bit controversial as it’s pretty cheap. Collinite Marque D’Elegance. Gives an unreal finish and will last a good 3 months if kept clean with the ocassional wash (I use Meguiars Ultimate Wash) and either a spray down with Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer and/or Quik Spray Wax depending on how good the remaining shine appears. Like you, I enjoy the process of keeping on top of things and as a result I spot any areas requiring more attention far more rapidly than I would with any of the “apply and forget” products out there.
  20. Ooh, hoping I’ve got the right ones.... ordered HB4s 😕
  21. Here’s another good example of wax finish and how it gives a totally different result to a ceramic coat. Most o& the ceramic coats I’ve seen, as Rayaans points out, seem to just add an additional layer of extra water repellent temporary lacquer. With waxes my seemingly silver paint has a much more golden glow;
