Hi all. Len T don’t get me started about dash cam i have had no end off arguments with nextbase regarding that subject. Mine according to nextbase has a battery back up er no it does not read the handbook all goes quiet then have not heard from you in a while so presume you do not need any more advise so ticket closed. Hi all. dutchie1 alas you are correct the system is all out off kilt. While i am at it let me mention my most hatted and i mean hatted and it is !!!! This need a drum roll please it is the ar**hole driving a car while on a mobile phone and believe me i hate these with a vengeance what planet are these morons on. Alas we have a doped bird up the road from me who works for Tesco and drives a mini and thinks it’s her wright to use a mobile while driving try’s to hide it but you can tell straight away the way they look down while using the thing. I was behind turns out another dopey bird driving a BMW don’t get me started on these cars i hate these as much as mobile man in my book driven by a******es no idea. I digress the dopey bird in the BMW drives through red light at my local retail park lucky no one was crossing as she would have had them i waited as a Lexus driver does for the green light and got along and there the dopey cow was playing on the phone looking down at it. I would make it a prison offence and crush the thing and ban them for 5 years and loose there license and to finish it make them pay £2000.00 fine there is no excuse now just bone idle. Don’t get me started about BMW drivers they are a bunch off a*****les no idea how to drive or what they are doing Alas i find most BMW drivers are all ar*****es with there brains up there a**e. 65mike.

Hi all 🤗 I agree with both Mincey and LenT are saying. Alas i have the misfortune off having to take a trip to M&S usually on a friday dinner time after work and you get very clown in the world there always in the isles. They are usually on their mobiles and blocking the isles up while they are busy yacking on the damn thing. Don’t get me started on self service tills You put you bag on the bag tray start scanning the first item put it in the bag then the bl***y thing says remove from bag that does it i stand there boiling waiting for clown to enlighten me as to what i have done wrong this time i have been up since 4.30 am and have been to work and want to get home boiling is not a good enough word to express my mood. Why cannot there be more humans doing it for the customers. 65mike

Hi all. If you want your car stewed best place to take it is Lexus Hatfield. Let me explain. Last year I took my is250 for it's MOT not a big job I know left it there as was told it would be a couple off hours so had a walk around the retail centre at Hatfield. 1 hour passed so thought would go back to dealer and saw a chap putting car back outside thought oh this is great all done alas no. So sitting down and service adviser comes up to me a little while later and says the engine management light has come on.!!! What was my reply he said was it on when you brought it in NO it was not, Cutting a long storey short here he thinks they left the car running in a 100 degrees while washing it then took it into a 100 degrees workshop with no air and the poor car could not cope with it. So I had my fill off them not going back there again. Note they reset the light as there was nothing wrong and all was ok. Cowboys. Also needed a service 60'000 mile service on a 14 year old car would not budge on price the price Lexus say is what you pay even though no warranty is issued as to old.😦 Selling dealer on the other hand nocked 10 percent off no problem.😀 So you can imagine my thoughts on Steven Eaggle Lexus Hatfield. 65Mike

For what I have had done to the car this year I cannot complain it needed the 60,000 mile service it had just a oil change last year and just doing the basic Lexus services since I had it so am happy with what I got tyres as you say Linas tyres wear out same as the shocks lasted 14 years no problem with that.🙂 Incompetent councils not looking after roads is not good no chance in claiming pouring with rain and a hole full of water and did not see it so tyre went wheel was ok thankfully.🫢 Vladimir lexus did quote me on 2 occasions over £600 per shock lexus parts direct want £242.03 per shock and they would charge at least 1hr 30min per side lets say £100 per hour I have no idea what they charge for labour. Looking at minimum £300.00 labour plus parts x 2 shocks at £242.03 each looking at minimum off £784.06. So if you got them all for just over £600 you had a bargain. 65mike.

Hi all. Well as the heading says been an expensive 7 months this year what with taking out a tyre in a pot hole and the 60,000 mile service. And just had to get 2 new front tyres and to get through the MOT I needed to replace the rear shocks. Got a pair off KYB shocks very good price also to be safe got new bolts from Lexus parts direct fitted by a local garage came to just under £624.00 including MOT. Well pleased Lexus wanted over £600.00 for one shock absorber. Now needs a good clean before it pours with rain.☺️ 65Mike.

Hi all. May seem a strange topic but here goes. I am looking / thinking off replacing my is250 now seen the es300h and was looking for prices for 2020 year cars from new. The reason this is I wanted to know what specs fell below the £40,000 pound limit as I do not intend to give DVLA anymore than I have too hence looking for a 2020 new car price list. Can anyone advise me please or even better point me in the wright direction. I have tried a search but did not seem to come up with anything. Thanks. 65mike

Hi all😀 Ahmed that is interesting regarding the upgrade for the Caster Bush. Mine is still having it's service and 2 things among others were mentioned the other was the rear shocks which won't get through a MOT and the R/H caster bush I have seen 3 different part numbers and need advise but seeing this post iam now completely confused will this affect the ride or tyre wear do you know. 65Mike.

Hi all.😀 I have trawled the web and looking in the forum but alas no info I have found please can some one help me.🥲 My Lexus goes for 60,000 mile service o Tuesday and I thought I would check to find out what it should have done to it but alas Lexus in there wisdom do not feel the need to tell you what they are supposed to do. I thought I had the info but alas it is for the essential only.🥲 Can any kind forum member let me have the info so I know what they are supposed to be doing to the car or even point me in the wright direction where I can find out please. 65mike.🙂

Hi all. I decided after much browsing around that I would stick with the Toyota battery as it had given 7 years service. It was as GLYNNY said a YZZZL battery I got to replace my YZZJC which had given good service. I phoned my local Lexus dealer and he wanted £127.54 and I said does this include fitting his reply was no that would be £60.00 approx I nearly hit the floor. It took me 15 minutes and no grazed knuckles to do the job and I paid from Lexuspartsdirect £106.59 including vat delivery was £5.99 DHL. All done now no wonder dealers get little work at prices like that a nominal fee off £15.00 pounds would have been ok but £60.00 is taking it in my book. 65mike.

Hi all Thanks for the info have been reading reviews on the above mentioned company and some say good some say appalling 😢 Don't know what to do have found another place https://www.megazip.net any info on them they don't seem to bad review wise. It's the cost off the parts that's doing my head in example a Lexus genuine Top mount dust cover for the front suspension is £209.58 I need 2 off these.🤫 Rear ones are like hens teeth dealer want £190.00 plus vat.🤫 I need all the front and rear springs / shocks and fixings want to the job once and once only.😉 Malcolm how do you get on importing car parts I see the cost plus delivery do you have to add 20% vat on them to is there anything else you have to pay.🙂 65mike

Came across a company called https://www.amayama.com/en has anybody used them are they any good as there prices seem very good much cheaper than dealer even taking into account delivery and import duty.!!! Hi all Herbie no offence intended but if you read the post you would see that the wiring was from a previous installation so could have been done then.😄 And the fuse is in the holder wether you think it is or not and it works fine. Iam happy to discuss fitting but do not expect to have my install pulled apart it works fine end off. 65mike

Hi all. This has taken a few weeks of my time but finally got it done.😃 If you saw my previous thread B****y Hell you will know the trouble I had.😐 I decided to wire the dash cam into the drivers side fuse box and use the cigarette lighter fuse after buying plastic tweezers managed to get fuse out. Ran cable along top windscreen and down door pillar pushing it behind door trim and took the side panel of and placed cable behind cover wired up and away it went. Pictures show the fuse box which is a nightmare to get at but if I can do it at 6foot tall it can be done just mind your back.!!!! Pictures show tweezers I brought to get fuse out original fuses are tiny in length so if you are changing fuses make sure you get new ones as the one that came out would not go into the next base piggy back see picture of genuine Lexus fuse and Lexus dealer fuse. Pictures might help but I got info from forum and YouTube video of how best to route wire and removal off end panels. All items used are genuine NextBase items including the hardwire kit which we had from previous dash cam. 65mike

Hi all. Linas alas no the tweezers are not there have checked.☹️ Vlad have tried with pliers as I said previous post but the thing will not move I am now going to order what in my view should have been supplied in the first place saying this Linas said he had one in his fuse box I wonder how many other owners have them.!!!! Once I get them will try again hopefully will get it installed then.🤔 Ever thing is b****y awkward cannot get to anything. 65mike
