  1. Hey Linas, sad you had to end the ownership like this but congratulations on the RC! Very interesting breakdown of the costs of ownership for the is250 thanks for sharing. Out of interest do you still have the is? I still didn't get new wheels for mine so let me know if you want to sell them. Could swap too. Sent from my F3211 using Tapatalk
  2. Hi, I have a IS250 SE-L 2007 and I am looking for some new wheels. My current ones are the common 17" multi spock ones (8j et45). I have found this set I like but it comes from a RX. They are: Center Bore: 60.1 mm RIM: 7.5JJx18 ET35 PCD: 5x114.3 My understanding is that they should fit? They should stick out a little more than oem but I am not too sure about the width as they are narrower than my current ones. I assume that there will be no issues with clearing the brakes. Has anyone tried this? Thanks for reading. Here is a picture of the car in good company. Sent from my F3211 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for the info. I keep an eye out for a set as I love the looks, but wasn't sure whats a good price for them as they don't come up very often. Maybe worth waiting for the next gen for a decent price then 😂
  4. What would be a decent price for a set of 18" "LFA inspired" wheels that are found in later years F sport models? Second hand. If i'm not mistaken Linas.P, these are the ones you have on your is250 too? Also first picture in your first post on this thread. My understanding is that these are cast wheels, and staggered? Thanks!
  5. Hi all, I got my IS250 SE-L about a month ago and very pleased with it! Ive been driving around in that time with no issues what so ever and no sign of any rattle. This morning I started the car from cold and after a couple of minutes in idle I set off. Immediately a very violent sound started that caught me by surprise. It was quite alarming, to the point I stopped to check the engine as I thought it was coming from there. I did a lot of research before I bought the car and read a lot about the common dash rattles and was happy my car didnt suffer from it but it seems I was wrong. I blame it to the cold weather today for revealing the rattle, although it was not that extreme. It surprised me that until today there was no rattles at all and suddenly very loud rattle. Is this the usual? I am pretty sure it comes from the dash although it sounds like coming from lower down. Behind the screen for example or even lower. But when i warmed the car up and used the windshield heater it became much better, and also pushing the dash made a difference to the sound (sometimes). Anyone had the same issue and any ideas how to stop it?
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome Mike!
  7. Hello all! New to the forum but not an owner yet. I will be looking to get an IS250 soon. I never had a Lexus before but I have nothing but good experiences with toyotas. I always liked the looks of the IS and the interior looks like a great place to be, plus toyota/lexus reliability and build quality. I test drove one recently and I am sold. it felt very tight and comfortable. I have a spec in mind that I am looking for but any advice would be welcome. I am looking at the earlier models due to the budget I would like to spend, and the more well equipped examples with ML audio heated/cooled leather seats and sat-nav reversing camera etc. I want an auto and I prefer the darker colour cars with light interior, but it seems most are silver with black leather? I hope I will find a well looked after car soon and I will start posting on the forum more. :)
