I'm in the same situation, the only things I've seen is like an air bag but have never tried it, it just didn't give me the confidence that it would last the journey and that it wouldn't mark the car.
I've got an early 2015 f-sport service costs aren't that bad if on a service plan my nNX is £6 a month more than the misses Toyota Yaris. Worries of the battery Life every year on the service it's checked and is healthy, the only battery worry I would say is the 12v if you leave the car to stand for long periods over 3 week's it can lead to it deteriorating and getting a flat battery. Apart from the 12v battery issues love the NX great for 200miles+ for comfort.
There is no mention of owner's, if it's just the one, it might worth finding out more information but if it's had 4 or more especially more changes of hands in the last few years I would be concerned.
Took my NX in for it's third service, around 30k and when I collected the car they had changed my water pump, they said it was seeping and replaced it at no cost, under warranty.
Sorry never done it, but have seen some videos on utube. I think it's a point to try and change it if you're electronically minded.
Good luck if you do change it, would like to see the new screen also.
I've just filled up too today with the E10. This coming week I'm expecting to do a round trip of 400miles. North Oxfordshire to the Dales, then up to York, a stop off in Doncaster then home M-Th.
I'm currently showing 37.0mpg so we'll see which way the mpg goes?
This morning I got a call regarding her indoores car (Toyota) about booking in for it's service.
I was told that when you get you vehicle serviced that gives you another 12 months warranty if carried out by the dealership, if you break the service cycle you lose the 10yr/100000miles warranty I asked the question about Lexus and the reply was "this applies to Lexus as well"
Very Interesting Ed, I did look into the Avon's a couple of years back but couldn't source any at the time and went for the Xclimates?
Which I was very pleased with, I had a visaul health check done today. And I going to require very two rears and very close to two fronts soon.
Any more feed back on your Avon's over the next week's would greatly appreicated, to help me make my mind up which to go for?
Not sure what everone wanted to use roof bars for?

Just completed a 310 mile round trip, with maybe 5 miles either end non motorway.
M40, M42, M5, M6, M58 and back ave MPG was 36.9
In place's 80mph and alot at 70mph due ave speed cameras, not forgetting the road works 60mph (18miles of on the M6)
I’m looking at having my alloy’s refurbished due to them oxidising (which I'm a bit dissapointed about happening already, maybe a new topic for that?). I don’t really want to leave the car just on a jack.
I've no idea of the best position to place an axle stand, front and rear.
So help is needed please?
