    I never understand why when spending over £20k on a car, why £200-400 per 10000 miles makes such an big deal. 10k miles at £1.25per liter 40 mpg £1420 at 35mpg £1623 and 30mpg £1900 (all approx ) Just drive and enjoy or get a motorbike!😇😇😇😇😇😇

    I don't bother with mine as they only come on at 42 mph so is pritty useless around the unlit lanes near me.

    A good few years ago I worked on a Costing The Earth for Radio 4 regarding this subject. The conclusion was that brands like Rolls Royce, Land Rover etc who's cars are still on the road 30 years later were easily the most environment friendly. Even the largest, most gas guzzling cars will struggle to use as much energy as it takes to create it in its life time. The fact that the hidden stuff that goes into making it is never taken into consideration, from the steel making, plastic manufacture, air miles used transporting all the widgets from all over the world etc. Anyway, off to get a coffee with my reusable cup....

    Living in an area without much street lighting I find it a bit useless as I have to go above 40mph. The lanes around me are fairly twisty so 20-40 is about the correct speeds therefore I have it turned off and have the inconvenience of having to see oncoming lights (way before the system would react) and dipping myself. 😉

    I think the find my car stuff is very interesting at the moment, MB are in trouble as they have been tracking there cars and people have said its against GPDR so I guess having the position of every Lexus at all times of the day and night on a server somwhere could be deemed a bit intrusive.

    I do like mine but it is a bit boring. I had a test drive in an Audi Sq2 and loved it. The dash is something Lexus should copy (like the indicators) boot space is a bit smaller but it's fun, the main thing missing from my NX .

    When I am on the drive my car links to my home wifi. I can't for the life of me work out what is the point as the app store has nothing, I can't update sat nav or car without a usb stick, gracenote the same. So why would I use my phone when on the move? Does it give better traffic info? Am I missing something?

    I have a cage rather than a guard, that way if involved in a collision she is safe, even if the tailgate comes open. I also have some room left for bits and bobs!

    I put Quatrac 5 on my GLC and found them fantastic, we drive to the Alps a couple of times in the winter and never had to use chains. I replaced the original tires on my NX for the same after a week of ownership ( they are classed as winter for Austria ) I rate them very highly and would not bother with full winters on a 4ish wheel drive in this country. If they did the cheap wheel storage over here I might swap to full winters but for now I am happy with a good all rounder.

    Looking forward to when I am on my bike, 130kph, banked over and the engine cuts power as it sees 90kph sign for trucks and trailers. Loads of false readings in France as there signage/speed limits are different for conditions etc.

    I had a look the other day and the boot is a very strange affair, I lifted up the floor and there is a lot more room under there.it had a foam insert that I assume can be taken out to put in a space saver. I seemed a poor design as it was not a useable area. Its a no from me, shame as it was the sort of size I would have liked but no room for a dog.

    Even if you have the cash, always worth checking pcp deals, the dealers get large bungs from the manufacturers/finance house. You can get a large discount then pay off the pcp within 14days and be quids in! There will be an admin fee but your share of the finance deal more than makes up for it.

    Had it on my GLC, pain in the arsenal. Dogs tail would make it shut, when I sat on the back to put wellies on it would shut, I had a mat that covered the bumper and a bit of wind making it fall and guess what, it would shut! Don't even think about giving the car a wash with the key in your pocket, that would always make it open when round the back...

    Just a couple more niggles, the heated seats stay on, they don't reset after the ignition is turned off. Very annoying when you pick so one up and the seat was left on and they get that strange feeling but don't know why... Also why Gracenote! I have an iPod with music and cover photos that the car won't show, it shows old covers and generic covers, why can't I turn that off and show the proper detailes. Anyone used rainx on the rear camera? The lens is plastic and always dirty, thinking it might help?

    But the front ones wipe if you leave on auto when you start up, much more likely to damage them, as windscreen isn't heated and not scraped!
