  1. This was a known problem with the LC's, something similar of 'plunger works, but not enough force to flip it open', apparently dealerships will replace for you. Others have found a work around by modifying the female side to have a chamfer and this solved the problem permanently. I would of course go the dealership route first as you'll be under warranty. If they looked puzzled (because you have an LS), just say it is a common problem on the LC, forum mentions it etc 🙂
  2. On the back burner at the moment as original search didn't show much promise. I haven't even looked back inside the door since the bodyshop mentioned it. I couldn't even find it on the parts diagrams I have, might have to be a custom jobby from something similar...
  3. Might be worth looking on the LC forum, a number of them suffered from the issue, so I would imagine they may have some insight into temp/ long term fixes if you come stuck/ unstuck again! 🙂
  4. Lexus will offer you 'book price' - so criminally low 🤣, but Lexus Swindon have always been keen on their F-cars, so maybe offer you something more respectable? I know it isn't quite the same, but my GS F sold through Monza Motorhouse, Asim was lovely, responsive with emails, fair price and quick turn around, might be worth a shot. He also funnily enough has good connections with Lexus Swindon.
  5. A friend tried for me and although they came out ok, painting them was just not realistic or effective and im not spending £££ on a specialist type 3D print haha. The hunt continues, may end up just measuring with calipers and find some generic ones to whack a Lexus badge on.
  6. Took the battery off the CTEK trickle, stuck it back in the car and fired for the first time in a while, popped her down to the body shop to get some small marks sorted out that were noticed when she came back the first time from having lip kit. Looking forward to having everything mint. On a side note, the drivers side inner door rubber that the glass sits on has perished 😞 (found by the body shop) as I asked them to investigate the slo-mo window travel time up/down. So will be trying to source a replacement sometime over the weekend. Also depserately in need of some DHP wheels centre caps, I hear they are usually found at the end of rainbows...
  7. The shortest distance I have travelled to pick up a car was a 90 mile round trip. The longest being just shy of 600 miles round trip. Always worth it when the price is right, plus you get to drive your new toy for a decent stint 😛
  8. I wonder if ever made, what the price tag would be, everything becoming uber expensive! I love Mr Toyoda, massive respect for what he has put into Toyota/ Lexus and definitely a one of a kind.
  9. Looked longingly at it from the window at the back of the house, had to jump it to start a little while back as it hadn't moved an inch since November time and with the cold weather, think the battery had understandably begun to hibernate for the winter. So I have decided to take the battery out the car and bring inside to sit on trickle until it is more suitable to go for a drive 🙂 Also need to muster the courage to replace the O2 sensors and the rear fog has been playing around so need to look at that, but the cold weather has made me lazy and prefer staying in with a hot choc 😛
  10. I hate c-clips with a passion. Well done on your investigation, diagnostic and repair 🙂
  11. I doubt it would be a full F-car, probably come under the 'F performance' bracket... I would consider it as a peppy little lux run around, now just to get a bigger garage for all these cars I want to buy! 😆
  12. A japanese mag famous for its accurate predictions/ leaks hinted that a small hot Lexus was on the horizon. I think also the fact the GR Yaris just had its midlife update, which now will include an auto option, for this to then be teased isn't just coincidence!
  13. the cold gets to them this time of year 😞 but a better outcome then finding out you also have a PS leak!
  14. Yeah I remember watching the videos on its development, still Japanese in my mind 😛 and yeahhh that has been a bit of a sticking point regarding servicing, not so sure I can be bothered with that. Might just have to get an Aston 🤷‍♂️
  15. If it makes you feel any better, when I did mine, I used Comma PSF, the way I gauged whether it was correct or not, was that it was red... 🤷‍♂️😂
  16. Never had a Honda product before, my brother now works for Honda Europe and has access to pool cars, I am reminding him at every opportunity to get a new Type R so I can have a spin 😛 Yeah the NSX interior was always a criticism, until I get in one, hard to feel anything towards it. Unsure on the car play front.
  17. Pretty much as Billy has said, Reds for daily, Yellows if you want occasional track day. The dust-reduction (ha) is massive in comparison to OEM. At first the reds gave me a lot of dust but the little booklet says they bed in for 200 miles and I would agree the dust dropped off significantly after a week of driving.
  18. Yeah the rare and unique factor (much like why I chose a GS F) is pulling me in, plus its Japanese, always had good fortune with them! Just wish it had a V8 😞
  19. The user/ owner manual differences are what tickle me, previously you could be given instruction on how to adjust timing or valve clearance etc, now it says don't drink the battery fluid! 🤣
  20. I prefer carbon accents than full panels of carbon, the roof can be an exception. I have been looking at the 2017 NSX as they are bargain money compared to the Astons I liked, it can come with a carbon kit and it just looks 100x better with rather than without.
  21. I am intrigued as to why the white one hasn't been sold to a dealer, oh wait I know, because they only give you pennies and then stick £10k on to it to sell 😂
  22. I think the kit that is on the car is Maxton, which are usually flimsy bits of plastic, nothing substantial but for a cheap option to add style, I understand why someone would opt for them and ultimately, each to their own. I love carbon if used correctly, but I agree, it doesn't suit the orange, a black or grey car possibly because it isn't as glaringly different. Lovely when you see something you were thinking of doing on another car and having your doubts erased!
  23. They are listed as 'publications' when you have a nose around some US sites for Toyota/ Lexus. Exactly what that means is lost on me...
