Hi all im having an issue with my IS220D since around xmas time 2019 - the car ive had for 2 years 57 plate runs really good , had the car mapped/dpf off/egr blanked back in 2017 and since then all cool , I had my fuel filter changed back last year Feb 2019 , iv'e always used V power diesel fuel , and sometimes would also chuck in a bottle of redex diesel once every few months - Around xmas time 2019 i was driving up the motorway in 5th gear doing 60-65 , but when i came down a slip road and tried to move off in 1st gear there was no power at all , if i bring the revs up to 2K then the car would start moving and as soon as turbo cuts in it would shoot forward as normal , basically its like trying to move off in 3rd gear , When i get onto motorway slow starting and it builds up speed then the car would run and boost fine as long as its over 2K revs , i did over 100 miles recently on the motorway in 5th gear no issues , but when i come to a stop it struggles in 1st 2nd gear to move off , it will move but you have to rev it over 2K the lift the clutch off , i was told it might be maf sensor , so that was changed for a brand new denso one , it made the car run a bit smoother but power issues still exist - there are no lights on dash and a freind of mine connected his snap on code machine to try read codes but zero , nothing , car starts fine , idles normally revs normally but trying to move off is like somethings holding car back , any ideas anyone ???? .... ???? 😯

im not too far from London area , where did you get it recon'd from and fitted ? Total price all in i am looking at for recon & fitting ?

... sadly having issues with supplying my own compressor - the mechanic said 150 labour but as soon as i said i'll supply my own Denso brand new compressor he seemed pee'd off and bumped the labour price to 300 ... seems like he was trying to make extra cash from the sale of his own supplied compressor .. not happy

Cut a long story short , my aircon was running as new , meaning proper ice cold , aircon recharged about 8 months ago - then a few days ago i heard like grinding /screeching noises in engine bay , checked it out and it was coming from the ac compressor , then the ac dies and now i can see the pulley is still spinning , the ac on radiator fans switch on , the compressor front clutch is not spinning or engaging .... how can i get this fixed please ? do i need a new compressor or just the front pulley clutch , and do i need a new condensor too ?? Ive had one online mechanic saying i need a new compressor and new condensor and flush system and then regas ... wants 1000 pounds all in ... I don't know how he came out with that price as a new compressor Denso model on ebay is 285 delivered ... thats if i need a new compressor .. any help please

Was more asking about the oil but yes dont worry i have a brand new is220 dpf unit which is not installed , my MOT not due till next year , i'll probably get a refit done closer this time next year

Hi just a quick one , currently my is220 uses the C2/C3 5w30 oil as ive been using since ive owned the car .. recently ive had the car remapped and dpf filter removed and egr blanked ... now my understanding is the c2/c3 oils are for the dpf cleanliness , so being removed do i carry on using the c2/c3 spec of oils or can i use any 5w30 ?
