  1. Hi guys, Just wanted to say thanks to this very very helpful community. Have said goodbye to the 2012 CT200H about 3 weeks ago. I've had a lot of help from the forum for my AC issues, repaired my blower fan, etc. However, AC still couldn't be fixed apart from a €3k part replacement. After my last service, my trusted mechanic has advised of some rusting in areas of the car, one of which is the petrol filler link/nose. I didn't bother getting a quote for a fix and as the car was at 300,000km, I gave in. Traded it in for a blue 66,000km 2015 IS300H F Sport. Absolutely love it so far. Have a few minor issues but the dealer I bought it from is sorting it all out under warranty. Failed NCT(live in Ireland) only on headlight alignment and dealer has replaced the headlight assmebly as the adjuster was faulty. I gotta say I'm positively surprised at how the dealer is responding to the issues. Hopefully all goes well and passes on re-test this Thursday! As a final note, as a very small thank you, I bought a space saver wheel for the CT200H that of course doesn't fit the IS300H. Anyone can have it, but if shipping, that will have to be covered by the receiver of course. I can meet anyone anywhere in Dublin if there's anyone here that's around the area and is interested.
  2. Just tried to look for a compressor in that site, even tried chat. Sadly, not available at the moment. Thanks a lot, though, and I will be checking back.
  3. Sadly, the mechanic was unsuccessful in repairing the compressor. He hasn't talked much about it but I think it's to do with too much corrosion inside. He is now trying to source a second hand compressor for me and will ring me with updates. Crazy thing about it is, he still hasn't charged me for any of the work that he has done so far(1 day and a half).
  4. Any major updates, I will let you guys know. Thank you very much for all your help. Booked in now for Wednesday next week.
  5. Hi guys, If anyone is interested in the progress of this, I have posted the same issue in Boards (irish forums). This is the link, but if it is not allowed, please accept my apology and take it down. Thank you very much for all your help guys. https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2058099930
  6. Found an online resource where it lists parts for Toyota/Lexus. Seems like the exact compressor for my car is the same on some Prius Plus models, but not any other Prius. The other thing I found on that site is that it doesn't list any other part within the compressor. It just says compressor assembly with motor. But it does list the one screw for the compressor. I don't think I'll be able to find the plug on its own. I think maybe that price would be for the other Prius models? The model that I think is right for mine is coming for at least £1000 for me and that's without verifying if they are reputable sources. Although in saying that, it is hugely under my initial quote so we're definitely moving to the right direction. Thank you very much. I think the correct model for my car is: Denso DCP51011 or Toyota 88370-76020 Not sure if that's correct, but hopefully it is and hopefully it helps any other suggestions! Thanks a lot guys.
  7. Sweet. Thank you very much. I hope I can find a reputable electrician here. Thanks again.
  8. I have posted this same query on an Irish forums and it seems that you guys have the same idea and they were even surprised that I was quoted for a new compressor for something that could be repaired by an auto electrician. I am posting pictures here for you guys to see the issue and please do let me know if you think it is possible to be repaired. Basically the pin had been eaten up by the connector that usually goes into the compressor connector. I am now looking at possible reputable auto electricians. Thank you.
  9. I have finally gotten my car full diagnosed for my AC issues and it turns out one of the pins for the compressor have completely rotten away so now I have to source a new AC compressor. Lexus Ireland have quoted my mechanic €2150 + VAT. Is there anywhere else I can source this? Just looking to see if there are cheaper options. Hoping to stick to brand new with some sort of warranty. Thanks! Lexus CT200H 2012, imported from UK.
  10. Current 2012 CT is nearly 180K miles, bought at 145k miles two years ago and just had a recent service. One issue that I've had for a while was half resolved. Basically, AC wasn't working, they found a leak, and an electrical issue. Leak is sorted no hassle, electrical issue to be investigated next time I have the time to come in. Everything else was fine. Rear brakes were around 30% half a year ago, and was told that they were at around 30% again on my last service a few weeks ago. Roughly 51mpg average fuel consumption, which includes quite a lot of city driving(Dublin). No noticeable oil consumption. Had an issue with the heater fan which was I resolved with £20 thanks to this very forum.
  11. It might be a familiar issue: On a Toyota Corolla Verso that I've fixed a similar issue for, the seatbelt buckle kept getting stuck on the ledge opposite/near the sensor so the metal that's meant to get in contact with the push sensor has been hammered in when closing the door so the push sensor wasn't being pressed in enough anymore to trigger a locked position. Fixed it by put a few layers of black tape enough to push the sensor in. Maybe it could be of help.
  12. I see the fuse in that page alright. Thanks a lot. I'll try that tomorrow and report back. Thanks guys!
  13. He was going to ask a friend in Lexus about possible faults and he would probably offer to do it himself, but I would probably be comfortable changing fuses and relays myself provided that they are reasonably accessible.
  14. Hi guys, I've just recently got my aircon system checked by a specialist as my aircon hasn't been working for a while. They have said that it is most likely an electricla issue as there is enough gas and the compressor isn't getting any power. I was thinking to change the fuse and relay to see if those are the source of the fault. I know the fuse I can just change, but is the relay something I can change myself as well? The manual that I have doesn't say anything about it. Would anyone/anywhere have information about it? I can't seem to find its location physically/via google. 2012 Lexus CT200H SE-L Thanks in advance for all your help!
  15. I have just done this yesterday. Had trouble getting the motor off from the original assembly, but all worked out in the end. The change is unbelievable. As everyone says, I should've done this ages ago.
  16. Could it be because the IS220 fan is larger so the load on the motor is higher? This is the only thing I could think of. I have just ordered one of these on ebay so we'll see what's what in a few weeks. Thank you all for your efforts.
  17. Thanks! I am aware of this, however, I didn't see much use of trying to tap/use a 'spare' fuse slot here if I was going to install a device in the engine bay. I still find it weird that the relays aren't in either fuse boxes though. Where could they be? Couldn't find anything about them in the manual either, but I do find part numbers on google for 'lexus car horn relay', for example. Worse comes to worst, I may just have to have a wire straight from the battery at the back, with an inline fuse. Painful, but sure, I don't see any other option. Thanks guys!
  18. That's great information. Thanks a lot. I just got a bit confused as there was also a a fuse labelled 'no circuit' so I thought they were different. I would utilise piggyback fuse tap, but the current requirement might be high for the equipment I want to install so it may not be an option as I do not want to overload the existing circuits. I definitely have one, just brainstorming for my options and seeing what other people have already checked out as options regarding wiring. Thank you very much for your input! Helped me out great.
  19. Hi everyone, I was just wondering regarding the engine compartment fuse box spare slots. they are labelled on my manual as 40, 41, and 42 SPARES with ampere ratings of 30A, 10A and 7.5A. I would like to know if these are live and if they can be used safely for adding additional 12V equipment maybe through using a fuse tap line? Also, where are the relays on the CT200H such as the horn relay? It's just a little weird that it isn't in the fuse box like other cars I've owned. Thanks a lot!
