  1. Spot on - thanks. My last car was an Alfa and the boot release was on the inside of the boot that you accessed through the back seat. I always thought that it was a little funny and was maybe design if somebody got accidently locked in the boot 😄.
  2. Hi, I've a 2015 is300h with a dead battery. Car has been more or less laid up for the last 2 months, have jumped it once and it started no problem. Ran it for 15 mins and all good and then have just started it every 2nd night. Went out to it this evening and dead again ☹️. I can get into the car with the mechanical key from the fob, and the pull down back seats, where I thought there might be a handle to release to boot but alas, no. Any pointers please ??
  3. Hi, apologies for bringing up an old thread, but I have the same issue. The horn sounds like something straight out of postman pat😁. Did you get it sorted ?
  4. That sounds like a total fob off. If they are unwilling to endorse changes, why would they have that as an end user configurable item. Its like saying dont change your radio from am to fm. With regard to the different combination meters, why would one car being sold in the uk be capable of metric while the other can be half changed. Give them another nudge or is there anyone else you can ask.
  5. I'm a bit late to the party but I too have just brought in an 300 F Sport from the UK and changed the settings it the same way MotoDevil had done. It worked no problem, and change all measurements ikncluding the ODO and trip to kms. Mine is an 152 D, or what was a 65 UK reg. I'm not sure if that helps you but it sounds more like a bug in your setup than a lack of knowledge about the configuration. Barns.
  6. Thanks for that. I needed it to try and export the car if I didnt havea V5. In the meantime, I got my hands on the V5, so all good. Thanks for the responses.
  7. Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I dont have access to either of those documents :-( Is it stamped anywhere obvious into the engine ?
  8. Hi, Does anyone know where you find the Engine number (not the VIN) for a 2016 IS300H ? Thanks Barns.
  9. That's very interesting and may be a big deciding factor. I must check with my own insurance company to see if they would accommodate CAT C or CAT D cars.
  10. Well done and happy motoring. I had asked the seller for details and got no response, but that was obviously you were on the case. Enjoy the car, it's a beauty.
  11. Hi, Just read this thread with great interest. Have driven an Alfa GT for the last 10 years. Beautiful looking car and great performance but now need a change. Unfortunately, my budget restricts me to about 17k, and I'm based in ireland and as a result of government tax strategy, the only three/four year old cars to buy here are all diesels, and I'd like petrol/hybrid, so am looking to import one from the UK. Like Dave I was edging between the IS300 and a BMW 330e. This thread is really nudging me towards the Lexus. I really love the look of the F series and think the blue is striking. Has anyone any recommendations of web sites to monitor and also would I be crazy to consider something like this Cat C on Autotrader. Thanks, Barns. PS. Just saw thread was 2years old, apologies for the resurrection.
