  1. Get that thing to the dealer ASAP! As the person above has said, they should do this for you free of charge. Having doors that lock is definitely an essential aspect of owning a car I'd say. Is the boot affected by this issue too or is it literally just the doors? Hope you can get this sorted quickly mate
  2. My best advice would be to ditch the Nextbase completely and get a different dash cam altogether - I've heard they break very easily.
  3. I'm about 5'11" so you've got a few inches on me there but I wouldn't have thought this would ever be an issue. When you were sat in the car in the showroom did you have a fiddle with the seat to see if it was just one of the seat adjustment settings? It could well have been this, as someone as said they're 6'4" and have no problems getting in and out. Such a shame if there's no way to adjust things to make things comfortable for you though, they're really great cars.
  4. The short answer to your question is... yes. It would be worth getting a CT200h. The footbrake is very intuitive and is actually quite easy to get used to. And around-town driving is extremely smooth and goes down very well. You will get mixed reviews for a lot of cars out there but at the end of the day both myself and one of my close friends both have a CT200h and we both absolutely love them, just a very nice car to own and a very reliable machine.
  5. What's it like coming back to the UK roads every time? I always imagine getting the driving experience in a foreign country would actually make you better over here once you switch back over to your regular ways of driving.
  6. I have to say a road trip to Austria would be amazing. Definitely takes more dedication than flying and renting but if you're fully for it then I'd say drive every time! The driving experience would be good too.
  7. I would definitely agree that user reviews on forums are more reliable and you get a certain honesty that you wouldn't find anywhere else. However I wouldn't outright dismiss professional reviews and reviews from magazines etc as it's good to get some quality technical info
  8. Not really a fan personally, but I can see why they would want to produce these things in countries where there's a market for them. £160k does sound a bit steep to me though...
  9. "Naming and shaming" is one thing, but trying to warn others and prevent someone from having their vehicle stolen is a completely different story. If you were aware that someone was a murderer, you'd want to warn other people, right? You'd want to prevent them from killing more people? Well, same goes here albeit for a different crime. Merely trying to save others from being robbed. And even if I did go into details in this post (which I didn't by the way, I simply linked), then I wouldn't exactly call it "naming and shaming". It's not like this person is an honest and hardworking individual. This is a sham transport company designed to steal from actual honest, hardworking people.
  10. No worries, just trying to warn others so no one else gets involved with this thief. If this post even stops 1 person from working with him then it's a job well done and a lot of time and money saved. I have no idea how he's not behind bars.
  11. http://www.briancanning.co.uk/ The website says it all. Avoid this company if you're looking for a transport company.
  12. Not sure what it was as its been taken down now. You need to keep your wits about you on eBay however, I never buy an item without messaging the seller first with some questions, even if I'm buying something cheap.
  13. Have you tried using a de-mister pad? I was skeptical about them at first but one of my friends recently had the same issue you have here and after buying one, it's pretty much resolved the problem. Mind you it wasn't in a CT 200h
  14. Very true very true, the UK roads are absolutely shocking! Especially near me. They need to start using tax payers' money to sort this kind of thing!
  15. Thinking about it now, I've had issues with my car because of "uneven wear" on the tyres a fair few times over the years. I quite often find myself having to pay for wheel alignment when getting new rubbers. I was just wondering what anyone has to say about what they think the main cause is? Road surface? Driving style? Weather based on where you live?
  16. Looks really good mate nice work 👍 good birthday present to yourself
  17. Just behind the rearview mirror so it's not obstructing your view would be best. You have to be careful where abouts you place it because I read somewhere that it can be illegal if you place it somewhere where it really obviously obstructs your view. It's probably best to place it slightly out of view anyway because if you have a more expensive dash cam then thieves might even try to break into your car just to take it. The same can be said even with cheaper dash cams really though, all are good and useful pieces of tech really.
  18. Best way to prevent keyless theft for little money is by keeping your keys in a tin/tinfoil (ideally both) and try to keep it away from the front of your house. It works wonders I'm told.
  19. Definitely looks like more of a "vehicle" than a "car"... I'm not quite sure what that "vehicle" would be, as I can't name too many Star Wars ships from the top of my head 😁
  20. Anyone got any suggestions on which I should get out of these? (All should be shown on this link: https://www.asdatyres.co.uk/215-45-17) Comforser CF700 GT Radial Sport Active Bridgestone Turanza T005 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 They're for my 2016 CT 200h. Don't really want to go with the Comforsers because I'd rather spend a bit more money on a set of tyres for the added safety/grip/fuel economy. Has anyone had any experience with any of these tyres?
  21. The poor fella, I hope they catch the perpetrator. Robbery is appalling to begin with, never mind attacking an old man like that!
  22. For me it's about performance, cost, design and materials. E.g a car built with carbon fibre is obviously going to be the "premium" choice over a car made with other materials, which also effects cost. This will probably also make it a hell of a lot more exclusive, and will likely be made be a high end and already "premium" brand. So they're all tied closely together. Although you mention styling is very subjective, which I agree with, I do think it has something to do with making a car appear "premium". Even though it may not add much in terms of performance and won't effect the technologies within the vehicle, the styling definitely factors into whether or not the car is heavily sought after imo. Think of it like beauty standards outside of the automotive industry: beauty is most definitely subjective to each and every person, yet some individuals are highly regarded as being "beautiful" or "good-looking" because they tick so many people's boxes of what looks good.
