  1. No matter how hard i use the brakes or not, the squeaking does not seem to go away for more than a few minutes. Surely it cannot be normal for any car. I have had many cars with steel on steel (M3, C65, etc) never had squeaking from them so I do not agree that high performance brakes/cars squeak because it has not been an issue with any other car. Suppose no harm in taking a suggestion from above and paying a visit to local dealer to see what they say. Will let you know how i get on for those interested.
  2. I thought all speedo's were a few mph lower than the actual GPS speed, e.g. if you are doing 70 on the car speedo, the actualy speed is about 67 - 68 mph?
  3. Recently I have noticed that the brakes are becoming excessivley squeaky whereby people are acutally turning round everytime I stop (and not for the right reasons lol). Are squeaky brakes a common issue with GS-F as I have never had this issue with previous cars. Have tried jetwashing for any debris, cleaning, etc. Anyone with similar issue or any suggestions? J
  4. Just to let you all know I got it sorted. In the end there was an issue with the software and the dealer couldn't fathom so it was all reset and has now started working fine. My sunroof had also failed in the open position which led to a reset of all the software and latest versions fo everything put back on (so they tell me). All working ok now; but cant beleive Lexus didnt build in a sim card into the car like the german cars to allow the car to recieve data, GPS, updates, and traffic info without needing to connect your phone and also as a result of this no sos button which on a car of this cost and calibre is surprising.
  5. Hi, Some help would be appreciated. The issue I am having is I am sending address from the app to the car and it says it has been sent to the vehicle, but I cannot find or figure out on the car how to receive this message/destination and accept it; I have trying googling but cannot find a proper answer. on other cars this was very straighforward, i feel i must be missing something. I have registered the navigation with the app, made an account, etc. Can someone direct me the right way….? As an aside, I am finding the infotainment system very unintuitive and the mouse thing is very frustrating to use when typing. I am sure I will get used to it as everyone keeps saying but some of it seems unnecessarily complicated. What I wouldn’t give for a rotary dial as well lol. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
  6. HMMM. Thanks for the input. It was more about peace of mind due to the places i end up in often. I guess i will stick with the paste kits lol. At the end of the day i know about the ride issues and i have been driving an m3 for 5 years with no runflats. Was just wondering if anyone had tried.
  7. Gents/Ladies, I have just joined the Lexus F ranks and have purchased a GSF moving on from my V8 M3 Convertable as I needed a car with more doors and space. I have been reading the various posts about the spare wheel or lack thereof in the GSF in the UK. My question was has anyone here fitted run flats to their GSFs and if so did it have a massive impact upon the handling/ride. The reason I ask is that I used my M3 and soon hopefully my GSF as my daily car (no garaging or weekending) and take a lot of long journeys so having no spare is a bit of a risk due to the places I end up in (remote north of Scotland) etc. Any advice or assitance would be appreciated. Thanks. J
