  1. Good read thank you for this. Some of the content makes me wonder if its worth keeping my CLS for a bit longer. I am surprised at the amount of relatively high number of issues you have had with such a low mileage. Purchasing a warranty seems to be a good idea with the GS450h, quite a few threads popping up recently with Hybrid issues and exhausts falling off etc. But they are gettting to that age where only so much would be covered on a warranty. Food for thought, I may have to stretch the budget for the newer model.
  2. I am in the same predicament as yourself, i cant decide between the GS450h and the GS300. Driven both vehicles. Head is saying GS300, heart is saying GS450h. The GS300 is a bit underpowered for me and would leave me wanting more after a months ownership, however on the flip side it could be a bit kinder on the wallet and longer sleeping hours. The battery issue is a cause for concern and i understand the batteries can be reconditioned at a fraction of the cost for a new battery pack from the main dealer. Plus the age im looking at i wouldnt be able to get a Warranty on the batteries and the budget wont stretch to a later model. How reliable are these firms that can recondition the batteries? good quality recondition? how long is the guarantee? any good hybrid repair garages in Lancashire?, as i dont fancy tackling the job myself removing the unit and sending it off.
