  1. Also I believe the bonded in screens add to the cars rigidity too.
  2. Yes my screen cracked and 12v battery failed the same, very frosty, weekend. I wasn't a Lexus fan then. At least the screens are laminated these days so you don't have a pile of glass bits all over you as when they were only zone toughened.
  3. My insurance company required a quote for a OEM windscreen from Lexus and I paid a bit more as I didn't want the Autoglass one. The dealer got their local glass people to fit it. It took the dealer three days as first screen damaged on delivery so had to wait for another. The dealer online survey didn't go well.
  4. It's not splitting hairs so don't be offended. It's because of my background in process control instrumentation. Pressure gauges are routinely used to measure pipeline pressure but also differential pressure is also measured eg across filters to see when need changing. Manometers can be used when setting up gas fire pressures in inches water gauge, say 8" difference in column height between the test connection on one side and atmsphere the other. If you think think this forum is bad you should try the BT forum. I went there seeking advice on hooking up my new broadband hub/router and got roasted by a regular who accused me of being a younger generation who wanted everything on plate (I'm 73) etc. etc. Senior moderators were involved who apologised but it left a bad taste. If you are offended please accept my personal apologies.
  5. The Lexus Relax warranty covers media systems. Does that help?

  8. Surely that's a bourdon tube pressure gauge not a manometer.
  9. Anyone know if you can get blanks which fill up the cup holders. This would be a lot more comfortable for shmbo.
  10. Mine's loose too. I'm leaving as is. Don't hear any rattles. Who said that?
  11. I use a pressure gauge as it's a little more convenient.
  12. When did anyone use a manometer to check tyre pressures.
  13. I have IS300h fsport. Its worth getting one with options eg. Electric/heated/memory leather seats and Mark Levinson media. The Premium has all the options as std. so could go for one of those which avoids all the checking. I remember the Advance has the above seats but 17" wheels which is not a bad thing as better economy. One thing I would say the 12v agm batteries don't last long if like you're an intermittent user but that seems typical of hybrids and EV's By the way Lexus relax warranty now incorporated in service costs Best of luck.
  14. The recall on my IS done wednesday. They cleaned the car and put £30.00 petrol in, checked 12v battery (my request). Shout out to Steven Eagell, Hatfield.
