Hello I have an oil leak where the head gasket is located. does that mean I have to replace it ? I thought the leak should be coolant in to diagnose a HG failure. would a sealer solv the problem ? thanks

Hello I have noticed a leak , of what it seems a headgasket probelm. the car is a Lexus IS 220d, year 2007 Can some one a confirm if I need the head gasket replaced ? I can not notice any oil in the coolant reservoir, or any milky residue in the oil cap. But in case this is the head gasket I wouldnt be prepared to spend all that money in a car this old, so what about those leak sealers , are they really effective, and for how long ? I would appreciate your help
