I don't know the exact reason for the cause of the issue but I had fluids in the gearbox all mix together and as a result the gearbox needed replacing. I was told that there aren't any gearboxes available so mine had to be sent to a gearbox specialist for it to be overhauled. My total warranty bill is somewhere in the region of £12k. I hope that your gearbox is ok.

Sorry to hear, exactly same thing happened to mine. Finally getting my car back this week after being with the dealer since the beginning of June. Is your car still under warranty?

Thank you, much appreciated. I will give the dealer a call and suggest Mackies to him. Also, they have confirmed as stated earlier it was the radiator that corroded that caused the issue.

Thanks, I did do a search on here earlier and couldn't find anything on a refurbed box. I'll take another look to see if I can find the post. I haven't been told exactly what caused the issue.

Hi all, I have this exact issue with my ISF(2009), luckily I took the warranty out on it when I bought the car. It's been with the garage since the beginning of June and with the Covid issues it has taken a long time for the warranty company to come out and inspect the car. The work has finally been authorised (circa £18k) but have been told that there a no gearboxes available and that my gearbox is being sent off to be overhauled. Does this sound reasonable? I find it hard to believe that the part is unavailable. Apparently the dealer has checked the system and there are none available in Europe or Japan as they no longer make this part.

I assume you mean the blue one that was in the show and shine? Was looking good in the sun. I was there as well, but was parked in the normal car park. Really good show, was good mix of cars as you say.
