  1. Dougs, Here's the piccies of your "cat" to me it's deffo a silencer, cats are tapered front and rear and have a heat shield. The boys at the custom exhaust place also stated it was a silencer -: Andy

    Gt Battle?

Hey Carlos, Think he was looking for a GT-TT and not a bloated old boiler Nah, only kidding Andy
  3. I love the Nankang's NSII's, i have on the rear on my TT, and they have never let me down. I also drag the 1/4 mile with them, and i get launches without wheel spin :D Some people won't buy them, as some people a brand-name snobs Andy

    V8 Vs Tt

Bedlam's correct BTW, there is no contest with the V8 and TT, mines waz bog standard, and the V8 had no chance. All respect to them though. . . . . Andy

These things just seem to pop out of the blue One time i was just saying to m8 how rare the Soarer was in Scotland, and then we saw one, then another, and another. . . . .B'hell Andy
  7. LOL, yip up hear in Bonnie Scotland :winky: It's just outside St Andrews, we've got guys from Cornwall and Kent who come all the way up for the thrash. Have a look here www.andytt.co.uk as to what to expect, these are some of my vids, all sorts attend, even Porshe Boxsters that go in reverse at the start line, Lambo's that blow gearbox's etc, but don't be surprised if a MKII Escort does 11 secs Well worth the effort guys, more laid back than Santa-Pod, Last meet i did over 30 runs Andy
  8. If anybody is interested in going to Crail on the 5th September then please email me andy@andytt.co.uk for full details directions etc It's a fantastic day out, everybody will be made most welcome, and nobody will be left on the side-lines, we'll make sure everybody has a great day out. Be warned though, it's highly addictive, no other meet will be the same again :D Andy
  9. Latest Crail vids -: http://www.siterollout.co.uk/~andyttc/Crail_25_July/ Andy :D
  10. Yes it will be, i've posted it in all forums that i'm a member of, just to keep up interest, as some members only use certain forums :D Andy
  11. Well Guys, What can i say :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D We had another fantastic day at Crail, thought the weather was going to be against us, but the sun was splitting the tree's, 22C, so i suppose it was not quite perfect, but most importantly, it was not raining 8) Anyway, as far as i go, finally managed to get the car's boost upto 13-14psi (big thanx Chris+Bedlam :D )So when i got there i was over anxious to get started 8) Anyway, got my first run done, but i was wheel spinning quite bad, i ran a 14.3 @ 99.6 mph. Over the next few runs, i experimented with the take-off rpm and was still wheel spinning badly and was getting steady 14.3's I was really gunning for Barracuda's time of 14.2odd's and i played around with the tyre pressures a bit. . . . .still wheel spinning badly, Bedlam and Chris were wheel spinning also. As the day went on i finally managed to achieve 14.268, just a baw hair of Barracuda's time, a few thou of a second! I was happy at that and i let the car cool down for a while. Next on was Michelle's dad, first time doing the 1/4mile. After a few runs with Chris, Dougie finally got the hang of this, and would you believe it :!: Listen carefully Mike, the big C*nt got a 14.17, aye 14.17 B'dy h*ll i could'ny believe what i saw, i was videoing him at the time and saw his time through the view finder, so when he came off i got him to get his times, yip 14.17 was correct. I was happy for him, so i went out for a bash! I was along side Bedlam and Chris, and what stick i took from em' I was called all sorts cause Dougie got such a good time, and i had'nt, enough was enough Could'nt let those so and so's have the upper hand, so i went out and thrashed down the 1/4 mile, and gues what :?: Mike are you still with us :?: 14.132 i got, LOL :D :D :D :D :D Yip that was a fantastic time for bog standard Soarer TT running 13-14 psi After that run i was getting steady 14.1's so i'm a happy man, that deserves a wee Buckfast, don't you think. . . . . Cheers 8) Andy

    Charge

Congrats in your new Soarer, one of the best cars ever to be made :D The "Charge" in the lower display when the key is at Accs is perfectly normal So don't worry about it. It's because the ignition system is "live" but the engine is not running, it's just waiting on turning the key to start. Your flat battery would be just your car not getting a run, when it was still in the Showroom, just give it a good run and see what happens! Andy
  13. Welcome Mark :D For now, get a boost gauge fitted to see what your turbo's are doing, then fit a manual boost controller and take it upto 14 psi, but no further, as this i beleive is the max safe limit for the ceramic turbos, and boost cut. Fit a de-cat, and replace rear box's with custom jobbies and this will take your Soarer to 330 bhp no sweat. Search the other forums as well for advice on the air-intake box. NOS is nice, but costly to run, you are likely to get ripped off on how much you pay for pound for a very cheap gas (that fast and furious film has ruined everything ). Andy
  14. Have a look at these, Bedlam and Chris took these -: http://sky.prohosting.com/bedlamuk/cgi-bin...39;s.SimonR.mpg http://sky.prohosting.com/bedlamuk/cgi-bin...#39;s.TypeR.mpg http://sky.prohosting.com/bedlamuk/cgi-bin....blue.300ZX.mpg http://sky.prohosting.com/bedlamuk/cgi-bin....MR2.720BHP.mpg http://sky.prohosting.com/bedlamuk/cgi-bin...imonR.Simon.mpg http://sky.prohosting.com/bedlamuk/cgi-bin...mon.2nd.RUN.mpg http://sky.prohosting.com/bedlamuk/cgi-bin...s.Puggy.106.mpg http://www.btinternet.com/~bedlamuk/Soarer...am.Vs.TypeR.mpg
  15. Well everyone, the first ever Scottish Soarer meet was a complete success A big thanks for everyone who managed to attend For me, my best time for a bog-standard Soarer was 14.4 My avarage time was 14.5, i did 14 runs :D Best of the bunch was Bedlam with 13.6 and all credit to him, just got his engine in and running on Friday night, but he was running lower boost than usual, and still managed a great time My highlight was beating a Nissan 300 TT and i bet everything of the line including 720bhp MR2, exept for other Soarers(TT's). The V8's managed to do late 14's, but i'm sure Edd will confirm the times, what a nice purr from Edd's car, sounded fantastic. Will post pics and vids once i get them of the camera, although i just got a new one, so not sure how the thing works! Anyway, more on this later, just thought i should give some feedback on the day
