  1. Here is my post : There are a few different stereos available for this model. They have different pins at the back but all look very similar from the front. You'll see the images of how you can tell in the post. If you remove your stereo first you'll be able to tell. Mine wasn't available so I hard wired it which took weeks to get right but it works fine now...
  2. I finally solved my Install of the Parrot. It took two months to solve and it was the mute wire! I cut it and it worked perfectly! BUT from what I can see you'll need an extra speaker for the handsfree when the stereo is off. If anybody needs a wiring diagram of how to manually wire it in then just ask and I'll figure one out... It isn't a difficult job but no idea why the mute cable was the culprit!
  3. So it transpires that there are 11 different versions of the stereo all made by Pioneer and there are 4 main differences. None of this helps us fit the Parrot unless of course someone has a lead specifically for it. My own gut feeling and I'm 99.9% certain that I have the hard wiring correct on it is that the left and right channels contain some kind of amplified or power coming from the head unit and that is why there is no sound. I read somewhere that the unit is tri-amped whatever that means... This is clutching at straws and might be completely wrong but it shouldn't be difficult to tap in to just 4 cables!?

  5. Hi Stuart, I don't believe the adapter for my Lexus is available in the UK. From what I understand there are a minimum of THREE different stereos they fitted in to the RX400H and they each have different plugs. I'm presuming that there are equal variations for the 300 too. 1. Mark Levison System 2. Standard Cd / Cassette 3 Multi Disc CD with NO cassette 4? Navigational unit possibly? Mine is number three. They all look almost identical from the front but seem to be different machines. Mine is a Pioneer unit. For the time being I have wired it in to just an additional speaker which works fine but is poor quality. The audio wiring that appears on my loom is as follows. They are second and third from the end top and bottom. + Black [] Red + - White [] Green - I don't know why Toyota thought it was a good idea to put a speaker + cable as a black but they did!
  6. I had this exact dilemma myself. I have been trying to do an identical thing to you for two months now! I know what part it is called and I have had the same experience with Parrot customer service. The part that you want is called ' Lexus (and Toyota JBL) Harness Adapter QCJBL-2'. However, the part seems not to be available in the UK at all. The only place I found it was in the USA and it was over $100 just for the lead! I therefore have hard wired mine in which theoretically is a really easy job.... Apart from mine does not work yet! I have another forum post asking for help. I think there is an issue with the signal coming out of the stereo myself but when it eventually gets solved I'll post here too. For anybody else puzzled of why the stock Lexus Rx400H / 300 lead isn't the same from what I understand it has at least three if not four different stereos. They all look very similair from the frint but have different plugs. Stereo 1 - Cassette / CD player Stereo 2 - Front Loading Multi CD only Stereo 3 - Mark Levsion Stereo 4 - Navigational unit ???
  7. I posted recently asking for a wiring diagram of the stereo on a 2007 RX400H as they seem to differ. Someone kindly posted the diagram showing that it was an amplified unit with just a left and right output (4 wires in total 2+ and 2-) I have had to hard wire the parrot in as there is now plug and play adapter in the UK. I am 99.9% certain that I have the wiring correct. When I plug a test speaker in to the parrot blue box it works fine. It mutes the stereo as it should do both on calls and on music playing. It comes up on the parrot screen that it is playing the music from the phone fine. When I disconnect the cables for the left and right on the original head unit I get no sound so I know that I have the correct cables and they match up to the wiring diagram. So has anybody any idea of why the thing won't work? Am I missing something really obvious here? Is it simply not compatible because maybe although they are the left and right channels out of the stereo going in to the amplifier something else is required to power the speakers? I'm clutching at straws here! I really am! Any help at all would be great? It's a complete mystery...
  8. Many thanks Herbie, That first diagram looks like it is indeed the one but it looks like it is possibly The Mark Levison stereo which means it has an amp and therefore no speakers connected to it! So I'm guessing I need to find the Amp now 🙂 Thanks a million for your help Herbie.
  9. Thanks for looking Herbie. It seems many parts of the RX400h are not the same as the workshop manual. I just got a new key cut for it and the one they say is completely wrong. It is actually a Toyota Yaris key that fits it! (TOY40). Are there any colour codes on those diagrams above that I am missing? Perhaps they use the same colours?
  10. Anybody out there with a wiring diagram for this particular stereo? Or anyone with a parrot that's airway wired in that you can share the colours of the leads with?
  11. Thank you very much for this but that looks like the other stereo to me. If you look carefully mine has one large pin either side (top & bottom) and 8 pins in between making 10 (top & bottom).
  12. Hi, I am trying to wire a Parrot MKi 9200 in to my 2007 Lexus RX400H (NON Nav model without a screen) . They don't sell the adapter lead in the UK so I am having to do it manually. I just need to know what colour coding is left and right, front and rear speakers. I have managed to wire in the live, negative, ignition... Just need to figure out which wire goes to which speaker now. If I search for the RX400H audio lead on line the wrong one comes up. The head unit is a Pioneer and it has the following part numbers : 86120-48A70 DEX-MG8067zt-02 and GAPK000313EW made by pioneer in Japan. I have enclosed a few images. Many thanks for any help... (The end pins either side are the power pins which I have done so it is just the centre pins that I need to find out which is which) Many thanks Matthew
